NEW PODCAST!!!- feed://www.outfarpress.com/podcast.xml (128kb Highest Quality)

This week's show features stories from Radio Deutsche-Welle, Radio Havana Cuba, the Voice of Russia, NHK World Radio Japan, and Spanish National Radio.

From GERMANY- With elections this weekend, Germany's ruling coalition could be at risk. There is a new Australian Prime Minister, Tony Abbott, indicating a shift to the right. The French Senate approved a bill that bans child beauty pageants. Former Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi vows to stay in politics despite his recent criminal convictions. Anti-fascism protestors and police clashed violently across Greece following the murder of a leftist musician. It was revealed that between 2002 and 2006 the German government supplied Syria with chemicals that could be used to produce sarin gas. Russia insists that the sarin gas attack was perpetrated by the anti-government rebels to provoke Western intervention.

From CUBA- The Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister called on the international community to pressure Israel to destroy its WMDs. Former US Attorney General Ramsey Clark has called on the international community to stand up against Washington's interventionist policies. The US military has stepped up its use of drone executions in Afghanistan in recent weeks.

From RUSSIA- Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff has canceled a visit to the US following revelations of NSA spying on her emails and phone calls, as well as those of her aides and the major oil company. A press review from the Moscow Times about Edward Snowden in Russia. Another press article reports that to compensate for being held up from bombing Syria, the US has launched information warfare against Iran.

From JAPAN- Iran has pledged greater cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency to resolve questions over nuclear intentions. The Japanese government will not classify information about nuclear power plants under new laws for prosecuting security leaks- a group of Japanese writers is opposing the new laws. The last operating nuclear power plant in Japan was halted on Monday morning for safety inspections expected to take 6 months. TEPCO, the operator of the Fukushima nuclear plant, promised 2 years ago to build shields to prevent radioactive water from reaching the Pacific Ocean, but never built them.

From SPAIN- Egyptian police continue to round up and imprison members of the Muslim Brotherhood. European Commission inspectors will visit Gibraltar to make a judgement on part of the conflict between Spain and the UK over control of the territory. Spanish ministers approved a draft bill banning the use of cluster bombs- Spain has destroyed all such munitions- the US, Russia, Israel, and China have refused to sign on to the bill.

I was interviewed for an informative weekly radio show Mediageek, available at http://radio.mediageek.net

All that plus times and frequencies for listening at home. It's free to rebroadcast, please notify me if you're airing it and haven't notified me in the last month, please mention the website if you only air a portion. If you just want to listen and have a slow connection, try the streaming version- lower sound quality but good enough and way easier if you don't have a high-speed internet connection. If streaming is a problem because of your slow connection, download the smaller file- it takes 20 minutes or less, and will play swell in any mp3 player application (RealPlayer, Winamp, Quicktime, iTunes, etc) you have on your computer.

NEW TIME SLOT on KZYX! This program will be aired on Sunday afternoon at 4pm (PDST) on KZYX/Z Philo CA, you might be able to stream via http://www.kzyx.org >

I hope you'll listen and air this if you're connected with a radio station. I am still wondering how to get financially compensated for the 25 hours I put into this program weekly- any ideas are appreciated. Any stations rebroadcasting this (or listeners) are welcome to donate for production costs. You can do so through the website. Many thanks to those that have donated! No Guilt! (maybe a little)
