From the Campaign Trail

by app Monday, Jan. 18, 2010 at 6:56 AM

Curtis for Governor campaign begins.

The Green Party in Nevada met last Sunday and confirmed that David Scott Curtis would be their candidate for the Governors race in NV 2010.

Curtis is a native Nevadan, he was trained in architecture and practices residential design there under the dba Apparatus.

Curtis for Governor signed a letter of intent for an HQ in the 500 block of Fremont Street, downtown LV this week.

The Campaign is assembling the team of advisors and resources for the coming months.

Already, Curtis has experienced some interference, as some of his text contents were blocked by the social network site Facebook.

Curtis was supporting a protest event organised by Cindy Sheehan, that had its initial Facebook Group event content removed by the managers of the network.

Curtis is using a Facebook Group called: Curtis for Governor NV and has seen some of his text posts blocked that were related to specific location for event.

Sheehan is reporting the AP is under-reporting the numbers of protesters that were at the DC event, she claims there were 170 protesters while AP is saying 70.

After the first event, a protest near CIA HQ in Langley, VA

the participants headed several miles to the residence of Dick Cheney, but were met with Large police presence.

And decided to remain some distance from the Police Line as they were told by police they would be arrested.

more to come
