EPA exected to give up in chemical fight.
by Juliet Eilperin-Washington Post
"The EPA, under pressure from the White House and the Pentagon is poised to rule as early as today that it will not set a drinking standard for perchlorate, a component of rocket fuel that has been linked to thyroid problems in pregnant women and young children across the nation."

Press Release by Dina Padilla Peace & Freedom Party Congressional Candidate Ca. 3rd District.

In this article, there is a debate as to how how many millions of Americans have been exposed to rocket fuel, the difference is between 16.6 million Americans exposed vs. 20 to 40 million Americans.

These are inexcusable, unconscionable and criminal acts committed by both the White house and the Pentagon. This includes superfund sites that are reduced to brownfield sites, that are really superfund toxic sites which are bought by an unscroupulous developer, who is an ex-GSA public servant, from our government and military.
This site is at the Downey Studios and Kaiser medical buildings including its hospital in Downey Ca.. Many employees of both the Downey Studios and Kaiser medical facilities are sick and dying and the developer is denying these employees their injuries and the medical care they need. The developer and owner of this toxic site has no workers compensation insurance! What is the Department of Insurance doing about this? What does it take to shut the toxic sites down?

What does the Democratic Congressional Candidate-Ca 3rd District South Sacramento Kaiser ER doctor William Durston know about Kaiser building a hospital and other medical buildings on a toxic site?
I am calling for the immediate shut down of Kaiser hospital and its other medical buildings and the Downey Studios at the Downey Studio superfund site in Downey California.
I also call for an investigation of the privatization of the decommissioned McClellan Air Force Base and the release of toxic materials in the water supply that now potentially threaten millions of people in the Sacramento area.
Both the Bush administration, previous Democratic administrations and the both corporate political parties have allowed the deregulation of oversight of toxic military government sites and their privatization into Brownfield sites. This dangerous and deadly fiasco now threaten the health of millions of people throughout the United States. I call for immediate Congressional hearings where developers, investors and injured workers and community people can be put under oath to get to the bottom of this toxic nightmare.
I also condemn the deregulation of the insurance industry and workers compensation again supported by the Democrats and Republicans which has allowed a massive cost shifting on to the backs of the taxpayers of California and the United States. Warren Buffet who was the head of Governor Schwartzenegger's kitchen cabinet and implemented these policies in California is now one of Senator Obama's economic advisors. Do we need more of the same?

HOW is it also that President Bush and the government with the support of the Democrats and Republicans can afford a $700 billion bail out of financial institutions that have criminally ruined the finances of americans but cannot afford to clean up the hundreds of toxic sites like Downey California?
