* French President Nicholas Sarkozy has come under fire for approving a 0 million arms deal with Libya, a week after Libya released Bulgarian health workers convicted of infecting children with the AIDS virus.

* The Cambodian war crimes tribunal has brought charges against Kang Kek Leu, also known as Duch, the former head of the infamous Tuol Sleg prison in Phnom Penh were over 14,000 men, women and children were tortured during the 1970s "killing fields" period.

* FBI and IRS agents recently raided the home of Sen. Ted Stevens (R-Alaska) in a wide-ranging corruption probe focusing on his ties to VECO, an oil services company.
