ANSWER COALITION'S LA OFFICE IS MOVING
We're Growing! We Need Your Help to Keep Our Work Going!
Make a DONATION Today!

ANSWER Coalition's Los Angeles office is moving to a new location. We have experienced massive growth in recent months and must move to continue this positive growth. It's a great development! Beginning on April 16, we'll no longer be located at 1800 Argyle Ave, #410 in Hollywood. Our new address is a few miles down the 101 freeway, closer to downtown:

NEW PHONE NUMBER

* Our web address and email will remain the same.

Mark your address books and tell your friends about our new location and phone number. The new office is over three times the size of our old office with many separate rooms to accommodate our growth. It is a step forward for ANSWER, for our many volunteers and for our ability to push the anti-war and social justice movement forward in Los Angeles.

All of our important work in the anti-war movement has made this move essential. We have been one of the most visible and active organizations in the anti-war struggle. To make our work a continued success, we need your help. Moving our office is costing us many thousands of dollars. Payment of first and last month's rent, plus a security deposit, a new phone system, more bookshelves, computers, moving equipment, office furniture and much more has made it essential that we raise $10,000 right now to keep ANSWER going strong.

Please make a generous donation today to help ANSWER take this essential step forward. You can make an on-line donation or learn how to how send a check by clicking this link: http://answerla.org/fundraising/index.htm

You can also make a credit or debit card donation over the phone. Call us at 323-464-1636 (until April 16) or 213-251-1025 (on or after April 16) to make your donation.

We need your financial support and generosity today. Please give as much as you can to ANSWER and the anti-war cause.

ANSWER's WORK IS EXPANDING

Just in the past several months, ANSWER has organized the March 17 mass anti-war protest that drew 50,000 people to the streets of Los Angeles. We also were key organizers of the April 7 immigrant rights action that brought out well over 50,000 immigrants and their allies in LA and helped reinvigorate the immigrant rights movement.

In addition, over the past year, we've organized additional anti-war protests of all sizes; held weekly meetings, monthly forums and film screenings; organized for immigrant rights; protested the anti-immigrant Minutemen; organized national protests in solidarity with Palestine and Lebanon; worked hard to show solidarity with Cuba and Venezuela; promoted the immediate release of the Cuban Five and all political prisoners; organized support activities with the people’s movements in Korea, Mexico, the Philippines; had contingents in the annual LGBT Pride parades; joined the picket lines of striking workers; defended women’s rights and more.

All of our work, all of our activities are dependent on the financial support and participation of people like you. ANSWER is a grassroots coalition sustained by the contributions of hundreds of individuals who share our vision of creating a truly just society.

ACTIVISTS SPEAK ABOUT ANSWER

“The ANSWER Coalition is one of our strongest and most effective organizations in the movement for peace and social justice everywhere, and they deserve the support of us all.”
Ron Kovic, author “Born on the Fourth of July,” Vietnam Veteran

“I am so grateful for the ANSWER Coalition. I can always count on them to organize powerful, and peaceful, protests in the streets of Los Angeles. And I also greatly admire their willingness and openness to work in unity with all of the groups in the anti-war movement.”
Theresa Bonpane, Executive Director, Office of the Americas

“ANSWER's work for peace is principled, well-organized and demographically diverse. They are the heart and soul of, and main force behind, LA's ever-power powerful anti-war movement.”
James Lafferty, Executive Director, National Lawyers Guild-LA
