America in 99 points...

'America' is a text written in 99 points. Some of the points are just one line and others are longer, up to twelve lines. In Europe, no matter what kind of education you have, when the subject America is brought up, suddenly all intelligence vanishes from the discourse. It is as if we in Europe lack a US chromosome. The text 'America' is completely different. It perceives the greatness of America all along in its 99 points. And is powerful, beautiful and truly.

An American lady sent us this interesting comment: «I did look at your link, and I was really astonished. I have lived in Europe, and every single European I know loves to say how much they hate America, the Americans and the American culture and way of life; and from people I consider extremely educated, intelligent, thoughtful, and un-prejudiced.

Anyway, then I read your text, and it is something completely different to anything I have ever heard any European say. Your perspective seems to be from such a different place - perhaps from the stars or from the Moon or from Mars?? I know that you're a writer, but even so: I was just astonished at your insights. I can see why you deserved to win the Jose Saramago Prize! Congratulations!»
