A Community Forum to Unite Los Angeles Area Progressives

SATURDAY, JANUARY 29TH 2005 AT 2:00 PM

THE TOPANGA COMMUNITY HOUSE

(1440 North Topanga Canyon Blvd)

The election has had a powerful effect.  Many of us have become depressed and demoralized.  Some of us feel extraordinary outrage or isolation.  But maybe you woke up to the realization that there has never been a better time to organize then now.

If so, then we invite you to join this inclusive community forum.  Julie Levine of the Topanga Peace Alliance and Bill Gallegos from People of Color Against Globalization will be co-facilitating the event.  Other individuals and groups participating include Jodie Evans, Code Pink;  Arlette Parker, Mothers For An Aware America;  Jim Lafferty, ANSWER Coalition;  Frank Dorrell, Publisher of Addicted To War;  Clarissa Romano, Office of the Americas;  Chuck Nixon, Veterans For Peace;  Arlene Inouye, Coalition Against Militarism In Our Schools (CAMS);  Kevin McCowen, Green Party and Santa Monica City Council;  Anthony Hall, Topanga Town Council;  Dwight Stone, Palisadians For Peace;  David Gottlieb, Topanga Democratic Club;  Lisa Lubow, Vigil Groups of Glendale;  Ben Allanoff, Watershed Committee;  Regina Clemente, Community Health Councils (CHC);  Terri Carter, Heal The Bay;  Joanie McClellan, Global Exchange Supporters of Ventura County;  Cole Miller, No More Victims;  Michael Novick, Turning The Tide and Anti-Racist Action;  Tadhi Blackstone, California Department of Peace Initiative;  Michelle Inez, Lavender Greens;  Jack Magee, Home Away From Home;  Eric Volmer, Voices in the Well; as well as  Sherna Gluck, Callie Wight, and Judy Atler.

All progressive individuals are welcome.  Join us and bring your ideas!

***Please bring food and beverages to share.***

Please R.S.V.P. as soon as possible if you would like to speak.
