While the commander in chief has yet to attend a single ceremony for even one American killed in Iraq, Veterans for Peace are showing respect for the fallen every Sunday on the beach in Santa Monica. This Sunday they planted 540 white crosses in the sand, one for soldier killed to date. Sadly, they expect to be planting more next Sunday.
