III. Q & A to Candidates and discussion on current important KPFK election of Local Station Board, moderated by riKu Matsuda.

In Madison, Wisconsin in November 2003, thousands of activists, academics, Congressional representatives, artists, journalists, unionists and others gathered together to launch the movement against corporate media monopolies, cross-ownership, consolidation, and idealogical bias. Sonali will describe this growing movement, its history, and going beyond media reform, to media transformation. She will also describe how independent community media institutions such as KPFK, are one crucial step toward media democracy.
