The recent decline in/failure of any major revolutionary attitudes or actions in this Southern California bioregion, although understandable to some extent because of continuing police repression, has left this area without any major critique of Civilization or even of the Industrial society in which we live. At one point, the Southern California area, and Long Beach in particular, had a vibrant ecological, biocentric attitude with revolutionary activity to back it up. The Green Anarchist movement has seemed to die out here. That is why some of us feel we need to continue our critique of civilization even further, while still supporting other struggles like the striking truckers and port workers.

Our new website, Long Beach Green Existence, is just the beginning of an ongoing project to revitalize the Green Anarchist idea in alternative media. Long Live Green Anarchy!
