This 7 minute documentary is about a woman named Concha who lives and works as a farm worker in the United States legally but under the condition that she may not cross the border again. She has this work permit, and was forced to make the decision to live in the US or never enter it again five years ago.
Now she lives in Calexico but her children live only a short distance away in the city of Mexicali, but in Mexico.
She's not been able to hug her daughter for over 6 years.
The INS often grants these work permits to avoid granting full citizenship or resident alien rights.

Hi there fellow indymedians, My email has changed. I no longer own www.zulmaaguiar.com. I own chumitas.com though. Most of all, you can email me at
zulma@ucsd.edu Thanks very much. I miss you guys. It's nice to read the San Diego Tribune from Calexico and read all about how the corporate media "covers" the events I juxtapose to your website and that of the SDIMC. In the city of Calexico where I now live, citizens protested in solidarity with everyone in the world last weekend. The border was blocked for many hours by the protesters it was a very visible and felt experience by all who live in this Imperial Valley of Southern California.
In Solidarity,
Zulma
