-00:00 Dennis Bernstein: w Joseph Mangano, administrator, coordinator of the Radiation and Public Health Project, their 'Tooth Fairy' study.. voluntary donations of baby teeth.. also legendary physicist Dr. Ernest J Sternglass, (link2), (link3), nuclear scientist, turned anti-nuclear scientist.. this study started 5 years ago. Backgound: A 50's study of 60,000 baby teeth documented rise in radioactive Strontium 90 in children due the fallout from above-ground testing of atomic weapons (that study resulted in the 1963 treaty ban of above-ground testing).. since then there have been no studies to measure radiation in the bodies of Americans. (until this new 'Tooth Fairy Project').. Fallout from 60's bomb test in Nevada came down in NY and caused an increase in childhood leukemia. Dr. Sternglass has found that cancers and infant mortality rates rise around nuclear reactors.
-14:50 Dennis: w parent Debbie Santora who lives 10 miles from a Florida reactor. her county has abnormally high cancer rates in children, high breast cancer rates.. unusual tumors.. her 6-month old daugher recently diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a very rare cancer.. more cases in her area.. daughter on chemotherapy.. no family history of cancer.. Debbie: if the mothers don't get involved nothing is gonna change.. people getting involved is where it's at.. the tooth fairy project very important.. we have to get these nuclear reactors stopped..

Dr Sternglass will testify tomorrow.. a giant spike in cancer rates.. years ago NRC required atomic plants to monitor Strontium 90, but AFTER Chernobyl, they relaxed the standards, S-90 not monitored anymore.. S-90 the most serious of all the toxins.. by not examining this anymore, the government estimates are sometimes one ten-thousandth the actual.. the industry is desperate.. Penny talking on the phone live as she/they are being packed into a police van, (sound of doors clanging shut).. now w Allegra Pacheco, human rights attorney: we're just two miles from Bethlehem, which is under total seige.. here a stadium celebration, for Jews only.. we held up a big banner calling Sharon a war criminal, yelling 'Sharon is a war criminal' in Hebrew.. the protestors were attacked by spectators and then police dragged them out.. Ms. Pacheco: the Palestinians have been oppressed for decades, this is a liberation struggle.. we're being taken to the Police station.. because we are Jews we will be treated well.. we want the world to know.. don't support war crimes.. we are considered criminals, while the real war criminal is Ariel Sharon.. ((sounds of loud banging))
