The show begins with Radio Netherlands- 27 Occidental Oil workers were kidnapped by rebels in Columbia; military and police commissioners resign in Peru for making a pact with Fujimora; France is moving toward legalizing euthanasia following Netherlands new law last week; an interesting opinion piece about U.S. foreign policy under Bush.

A story from Spanish National Radio about the U.N. and E.U. condemnation of Israel's recent use of "disproportionate force."

On to Radio Deutsche Welle- an in-depth update on other nations moving forward on the Kyoto protocols despite the U.S. disinterest; a story from Man&Environment about multi-nationals logging the rainforest in Liberia.

A report from China Radio International concerning the current Chinese feelings on the spy plane incident.

Two stories from Radio Havana Cuba- April 16 was the 40th anniversary of Castro's declaration that the revolution would be socialist, Fidel spoke to 100,000; an opinion piece about Bush's Latin American policy including the appointment of Otto Reich to undersecretary of state for Latin American affairs.
