George Bush, Skull & Bones and the New World Order
A New American View -- International Edition White Paper
For the initiates of the Order, the question of whether secrecy and ambiguity are used for the purpose of accomplishing "good" or "evil" is of secondary importance. Secrecy and ambiguity are essential instruments for wielding power. The effective wielding of power is one of the overarching goals of all Bonesmen. The secret ties built up during the Bonesmen's senior year of active membership in the Order are maintained for life. Those ties link each Bonesman to every other initiate, especially to those initiates who were members of the Order in the same year.
Thus, every member of Skull & Bones is, in real and practical terms, part of a small elite group of young Yale graduates -- most from wealthy and powerful WASP families -- who enter the world of politics, business, finance, intelligence or education and who proceed to make their mark on the world.
According to several sources, President George Bush to this day frequently consults with several of his fellow Yale Bonesmen, and has, on occasion, called upon Skull & Bones members to carry out secret diplomatic missions for the White House.
To the Bonesmen, the use of military power is a natural and essential corollary to political power. The Bonesmen are taught that, although ideas have their place, to truly transform history, military force is almost always required. Critics of the Order have pointed out that this philosophy of power and the imperial use of military force comes straight from the chronicles of the Roman Empire -- especially the Roman Empire during its phase of decline and collapse.
The criticism may prove to be most prophetically true of the current generation of Bonesmen who are leading the United States under the presidency of George Bush. During the final phase of the Roman Empire, legions were deployed out around the world to conquer and subjugate vast territories, while back in Rome, there was a breakdown, a crisis in which the entire social and cultural fabric of the early Roman republic was eroding and giving way to something akin to the drug, rock-sex counterculture of today. The Roman imperial policy of attempting to gloss over the decadence at home by engaging in constant wars of expansion led ultimately to the total collapse of Rome.
In this regard, the Spartan-Roman imperial outlook of the American WASP warrior caste, exemplified by Skull & Bones, cannot be precisely compared to the Japanese samurai code of Bushido. The Japanese Bushido code emphasized honor among the warriors and presumed a fundamentally moral or ethical vision of the world.
No such emphasis on morality and honor exists in the code of Skull & Bones. On the contrary, the Skull & Bones philosophy, according to several of its most astute critics and historians, emphasizes the "double-cross system." The "double-cross" is symbolically represented by the crossbones on the emblem of the Order. According to this philosophy, anyone who is not an initiate is inferior, and can be lied to and manipulated to further the power of the WASP Establishment. To the extent that Japanese leaders view their American WASP counterparts as men of honor whose word is sacred and whose intentions are presumed to be virtuous, they will miss the fundamental character of the American imperium. This is of special importance today, with a leading member of the Skull & Bones system occupying the White House.
Skull & Bones philosophy first manifested itself at the American national political level in the late l9th century. At that time, the men of the Order adopted all the critical features of the British imperial system, especially the belief in the Anglo Saxon God-given right to rule over all the other races. Even countries like Japan, which were never colonial possessions of the Anglo-American combination, were viewed as inferior nations to be treated no differently from the colonies in Africa, India or Latin America.
One hub of the Order's postwar economic power, the major multinational oil corporations, have clearly benefited greatly from President Bush's "charming little colonial war" in the Persian Gulf. The leading oil companies which are linked to the Order are: Standard Oil Trust Corporation, Shell Oil of America, Creole Petroleum Corporation and Pennzoil Corporation. The founder and present chairman of the board of Pennzoil started out in the oil business in partnership with George Bush in Zapata Oil. It is interesting to note in the context of the Bonesmen's deep involvement in the world petroleum business that George Bush, during his early days as a Texas oilman, had worked closely with the Kuwaitis.
Eight major Wall Street and Washington, D.C. law firms stand out as practically wholly-owned subsidiaries of the Order of Skull & Bones. Each of these firms was founded by members of the Order, and each of these firms continues to provide up-and-coming Order initiates in the legal community with training, credentials and connections. A review of the major corporate clients of these firms would reveal many of the most powerful companies among the Fortune 500.
As a result of the military victory over Iraq, the United States is in the process of establishing a string of permanent military bases throughout the Persian Gulf and Near East. The oil sheikdoms of the region, led by Saudi Arabia, are now thoroughly dependent on the American military presence to ensure the survival of their regimes. The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) is effectively captured by Washington. American bankers aided by U.S. gunboats now are setting world oil prices. Thus, one consequence of the Persian Gulf War is that the United States now has an oil weapon -- pointed principally at Germany and Japan. Ironically, America's two chief economic rivals have paid out a total of billion to date to help finance a Bush administration military adventure which put the oil weapon in Washington's hand.

Silence is complicity
To veteran South Florida activist Bob Kunst, George W. Bush will never
be our legitimate president. He believes most of us agree with him: "The
majority of the American people smell a rat. Our sacred right to vote has
been trivialized." He says he's a patriot: "I believed in what this country
stood for. I feel as though my guts have been torn out." He feels the need to
speak out: "To accept such treachery and remain silent about it is to invite
a greater catastrophe." So, Kunst and his "Oral Majority" political action
committee have gone public -- big time.
They flew an aerial banner proclaiming "Bush stole the election" four times over Super Bowl XXXV. Since Nov. 7, they have orchestrated 60 protests against what they call "the theft" of the presidential election -- in places like Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Boca
Raton, West Palm Beach, Tallahassee, Atlanta and Washington, D.C. They led
a "Florida Freedom Ride" from Miami to the nation's capital to protest at the
inauguration, shocked that, along the way, so many people honked their horns
in support and even gave them a thumbs up.
According to Kunst, a dismayed Vice President Cheney, the window of his limousine down, saw their signs and heard their chants of "Jail to the Thief." He vows that it won't be the last time.
Look and listen for the "Oral Majority" -- replete with its signature
"No More Bushit" sign, buttons and bumperstickers -- at the Academy Awards,
when Bill Clinton speaks in Miami on Feb. 10, at the next hearing of the U.S.
Commission on Civil Rights in Miami on Feb. 16, and wherever people
congregate, including Fourth of July celebrations nationwide.
An equal-opportunity chastiser, the "Oral Majority" condemns people in and out
of both political parties who silently accept the process and results of the
last election. "This is not a left-right issue," Kunst contends. "It is a
pure American issue." He is gratified that embarrassed Republicans have told
him that "this is not our way of winning" and even support his campaign. He
has no use for Democrats who, he thinks, are providing no leadership in
uncovering the truth about Florida's contested election. Kunst refuses to
listen to naysayers who suggest that we "can't do anything" and that he
should "give up." Instead, the "Oral Majority" has designed an agenda to
tweak, mobilize and wake up America.
It calls for the Bush brothers to resign from office and for a recall of the GOP members of the Florida Legislature, "who abused their authority to override our state's voters." It wants Attorney General John Ashcroft to investigate voter fraud in Florida. It has
already identified a candidate to run against Jeb Bush and is coordinating
campaigns to unseat any supervisors of elections who participated in the
"scam" of the last election. Kunst is formidable. Don't discount him or
even the most outrageous demands of the "Oral Majority."
After four years, he made pulp out of then-Florida orange juice queen Anita Bryant and her anti-gay supporters. He has gone head to head with the Rev. Jerry Falwell and
recently led 16 protests in support of former Attorney General Janet Reno.
Earlier on, he helped integrate Miami High School and protested against the
Vietnam War. He is haunted by the memory of people's silence during the
Holocaust: "If you don't speak out, you are in danger of repeating it."
Precisely because he will never keep quiet, Kunst's latest crusade will
inevitably gain major momentum. Still, ultimately, restoring our trust in
our electoral process isn't about him or the "Oral Majority." It is about you
and me and whether enough people choose to take a stand -- with him or on our
own -- to see to it that the truth comes out and tainted elections never
happen again, in Florida or anywhere.
Deep down, no one in America, even those who supported Bush, can possibly feel that Florida's vote was legitimate. We all have a stake in restoring confidence in our elections, but few of us realize that all we have to do is speak out and keep the pressure
up on politicians or nothing will change for the better. Thus far, the only
person organizing any meaningful protests is Kunst.

The success of Bush Vice Presidential running mate Richard Cheney at leading Halliburton, Inc. to a five year .8 billion "pig-out" on federal contracts and taxpayer-insured loans is only a partial indicator of what may happen if the Bush ticket wins in two weeks. A closer look at available research, including an August 2, 2000 report by the Center for Public Integrity (CPI) at www.public-i.org, suggests that drug money has played a role in the successes achieved by Halliburton under Cheney's tenure as CEO from 1995 to 2000. This is especially true for Halliburton's most famous subsidiary, heavy construction and oil giant, Brown and Root. A deeper look into history reveals that Brown and Root's past as well as the past of Dick Cheney himself, connect to the international drug trade on more than one occasion and in more than one way.
This June the lead Washington, D.C. attorney for a major Russian oil company connected in law enforcement reports to heroin smuggling and also a beneficiary of US backed loans to pay for Brown and Root contracts in Russia, held a .2 million fund raiser to fill the already bulging coffers of presidential candidate George W. Bush. This is not the first time that Brown and Root has been connected to drugs and the fact is that this "poster child" of American industry may also be a key player in Wall Street's efforts to maintain domination of the half trillion dollar a year global drug trade and its profits. And Dick Cheney, who has also come closer to drugs than most suspect, and who is also Halliburton's largest individual shareholder (.5 million), has a vested interest in seeing to it that Brown and Root's successes continue.
Of all American companies dealing directly with the U.S. military and providing cover for CIA operations few firms can match the global presence of this giant construction powerhouse which employs 20,000 people in more than 100 countries. Through its sister companies or joint ventures, Brown and Root can build offshore oil rigs, drill wells, construct and operate everything from harbors to pipelines to highways to nuclear reactors. It can train and arm security forces and it can now also feed, supply and house armies. One key beacon of Brown and Root's overwhelming appeal to agencies like the CIA is that, from its own corporate web page, it proudly announces that it has received the contract to dismantle aging Russian nuclear tipped ICBMs in their silos.
Furthermore, the relationships between key institutions, players and the Bushes themselves suggest that under a George "W" administration the Bush family and its allies may well be able, using Brown and Root as the operational interface, to control the drug trade all the way from Medellin to Moscow.
Originally formed as a heavy construction company to build dams, Brown and Root grew its operations via shrewd political contributions to Senate candidate Lyndon Johnson in 1948. Expanding into the building of oil platforms, military bases, ports, nuclear facilities, harbors and tunnels, Brown and Root virtually underwrote LBJ's political career. It prospered as a result, making billions on U.S. Government contracts during the Vietnam War. The "Austin Chronicle" in an August 28 Op-ed piece entitled "The Candidate From Brown and Root" labels Republican Cheney as the political dispenser of Brown and Root's largesse. According to political campaign records, during Cheney's five year tenure at Halliburton the company's political contributions more than doubled to .2 million. Not surprisingly, most of that money went to Republican candidates.
Independent news service "newsmakingnews.com," also describes how in 1998, with Cheney as Chairman, Halliburton spent .1 billion to purchase oil industry equipment and drilling supplier Dresser Industries. This made Halliburton a corporation that will have a presence in almost any future oil drilling operation anywhere in the world. And it also brought back into the family fold the company that had once sent a plane - also in 1948 - to fetch the new Yale Graduate George H.W. Bush, to begin his career in the Texas oil business. Bush the elder's father, Prescott, served as a Managing Director for the firm that once owned Dresser, Brown Bothers Harriman.
It is clear that everywhere there is oil there is Brown and Root. But increasingly, everywhere there is war or insurrection there is Brown and Root also. From Bosnia and Kosovo, to Chechnya, to Rwanda, to Burma, to Pakistan, to Laos, to Vietnam, to Indonesia, to Iran to Libya to Mexico to Colombia, Brown and Root's traditional operations have expanded from heavy construction to include the provision of logistical support for the U.S. military. Now, instead of U.S. Army quartermasters, the world is likely to see Brown and Root warehouses storing and managing everything from uniforms to rations to vehicles.
Dramatic expansion of Brown and Root's operations in Colombia also suggest Bush preparations for a war inspired feeding frenzy as a part of "Plan Colombia." This is consistent with moves by former Bush Treasury Secretary Nicholas Brady to open a joint Colombian-American investment partnership called Corfinsura for the financing of major construction projects with the Colombian Antioquia Syndicate, headquartered in Medellin. (See FTW June, 00). And expectations of a ground war in Colombia may explain why, in a 2000 SEC filing, Brown and Root reported that in addition to owning more than 800,000 square feet of warehouse space in Colombia, they also lease another 122,000 square feet. According to the filing of the Brown and Root Energy Services Group, the only other places where the company maintains warehouse space are in Mexico (525,000 sq. feet), and the U.S. (38,000) square feet.
According to the web site of Colombia's Foreign Investment Promotion Agency Brown and Root had no presence in the country until 1997. What does Brown and Root, which, according to the AP has made more than billion supporting and supplying U.S. troops, know about Colombia that the U.S. public does not? Why the need for almost a million square feet of warehouse space that can be transferred from one Brown and Root operation (energy) to another (military support) with the stroke of a pen?

Four years after helping to win the Gulf War and reclaiming the oil fields of Kuwait from Iraq, Dick Cheney, a former secretary of defense, went from fighting for oil to running a Dallas-based company that he has helped transform into the world's largest oil-field services company.
As chief executive of Halliburton Co. since 1995, Mr. Cheney has been able to rely heavily on the high-level contacts in the Middle East he made as defense secretary to win business in the roughneck world of international oil.
And now, as he emerges again from the business world to become the running mate of George W. Bush, the Republican presidential candidate, Mr. Cheney's corporate experience has made clear the Republican ticket's roots in the oil industry.
Since joining the company in 1995, Mr. Cheney's background as a leader in the Gulf War has seemed tailor-made for Halliburton, since much of its business is done with Arab governments. Almost 70 percent of Halliburton's nearly billion in annual sales comes from outside the United States.
Mr. Cheney quickly established himself as Halliburton's outside man, a globetrotting ''rainmaker,'' while his deputy and now successor, David Lesar, handled internal operations.
''Cheney could go to the Middle East - he had a reputation there - and most CEOs don't have that,'' said David Gribbin, a longtime friend of Mr. Cheney's who is Halliburton's vice president for government affairs in Washington.
Kenneth Adelman, a former Reagan administration official and longtime Cheney friend, agreed. ''Halliburton played to his strengths,'' Mr. Adelman said, ''which were contacts in the Arab world and dealing with governments.''
Mr. Cheney was a surprise choice when he was named chief executive of Halliburton. He had virtually no experience in the business world and had not held a full-time job since leaving the Pentagon.
In 1993 and 1994, Mr. Cheney had spent his time giving speeches, joining corporate boards and campaigning for Republican candidates while he decided whether to run for president himself.
But by early 1995, Mr. Cheney had decided against a presidential bid and began considering his next move. The business world, largely unknown to him, became ''a more attractive option after he gave up on running for president,'' recalled Sean O'Keefe, who was secretary of the navy in the Bush administration and remains close to Mr. Cheney.
Appointed chief executive of Halliburton in August 1995, Mr. Cheney took over a company that analysts said was trying to adapt to big changes in the oil industry, including a collapse in oil prices in the late 1990s that discouraged exploration.
With more than 100,000 employees, Halliburton's main business is to provide oil producers with the technology and equipment to find, drill for and pump oil out of the ground, including everything from sophisticated computer software that helps locate oil fields to drill bits and pressure pumping systems.
Its customers include the world's largest oil producers as well as oil-producing nations. It also has large engineering and construction businesses and has pursued other lines of business, such as construction work for the U.S. military abroad, including logistical support to U.S. forces in the Balkans.
Mr. Cheney's most important move at Halliburton was to orchestrate the 1998 acquisition of one of its largest competitors, Dresser Industries. Overnight, the purchase made Halliburton the largest oil-services company in the world.
Like other big oil companies, Halliburton does business in some of the roughest parts of the developing world, providing oil services in the Caspian region in Central Asia, the North Sea, offshore fields in West Africa, the Middle East, Venezuela and now Bangladesh. Since taking over the enterprise, Mr. Cheney has sharply increased its reliance on international operations.
Since 1994, the year before he joined Halliburton, its percentage of revenues from domestic operations has fallen from about 59 percent to just 32 percent.
The company's most recent annual report said it did business in more than 120 countries. The report did not list all the nations, although it noted that Halliburton operated in such politically unstable nations as Algeria, Angola, Nigeria and Russia.
Mr. Cheney's role as the chief executive of a multinational oil company has given him the chance over the last few years to weigh in on controversial foreign policy issues. At the top of his list has been ending the use of trade sanctions as a tool of U.S. foreign policy.
Mr. Cheney called in June for the lifting of U.S. sanctions on Iran. He called relations between Iran and the United States a ''tragedy,'' adding that one of the best ways to improve ties would be ''to allow American firms to do the same thing that most other firms around the world are able to do now, and that is to be active in Iran.''
He added, ''We're kept out of there primarily by our own government, which has made a decision that U.S. firms should not be allowed to invest significantly in Iran, and I think that's a mistake.''
Under Mr. Cheney, Halliburton has become a leading member of USA Engage, a lobbying group that seeks to lift sanctions. Halliburton is also a member of the board of the National Foreign Trade Council, a lobbying group that recently won a victory in the Supreme Court, which struck down a Massachusetts state law imposing state sanctions on companies doing business in Burma.
Mr. Cheney's company has already done business in countries still facing U.S. sanctions, including Libya and Iraq, the enemy Mr. Cheney helped vanquish in the Gulf War.
Dresser-Rand and Ingersoll-Dresser Pump Co., joint ventures that Halliburton has sold within the past year, have done work in Iraq on contracts for the reconstruction of Iraq's oil industry, under the United Nation's Oil for Food program.
The Unconstitutional Bush-Cheney Ticket
The US Constitution states that the President & the Vice President
must be from different states. To get around this Dick Cheney abruptly
switched his voter registration from Texas, where he has lived &
voted for many years, to Wyoming, where he had previous ties.
"Former administrators of President Bush donate to governor"
"'I'm a Texas voter, and I'm a Republican and I know him personally," said Cheney, who is now
chairman and CEO of the Halliburton Co. in Dallas."
The switch in voter registration by Cheney from Texas to Wyoming may or may not
satisfy the letter of the law. Clearly it violates the spirit of the
Constitution which sought to make certain that no state would dominate
other states by having both top offices going to citizens of the same

strong family & business ties between the President & Vice President.

Made in America
It's no accident that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction. U.S. corporations helped supply them.
IN JANUARY 1991 Iraqi president Saddam Hussein launched a barrage of long-range Scud missiles against Israel and Saudi Arabia. Dozens of people were wounded or killed -- including 28 U.S. soldiers who were asleep in their bunks when the Scuds hit. According to declassified secret nuclear, chemical, and biological logs kept by the Pentagon, Israeli police "confirmed nerve gas" at the site where the missile landed in downtown Tel Aviv.
While the incident was widely reported in the press, it was rarely mentioned that the technology used to increase the range of the missile that hit Israel, and to create the nerve gas that was apparently carried inside, was supplied to Iraq by U.S. and western corporations. Likewise, when U.S.-led allied forces bombed more than 30 chemical and biological weapons facilities during the 1991 war with Iraq, much of the deadly toxins that were released into the upper atmosphere, only to fall back down on the heads of U.S. forces, were created with the generous support of U.S. firms and America's leading politicians.
At one point, just a year before Iraq invaded Kuwait, Pentagon officials invited key Iraqi military technicians to a special conference in Portland, Ore., that amounted to a crash course in how to detonate a nuclear bomb.
Even today, the chemical, biological, and possibly even nuclear weapons U.S. troops could face in Gulf War II might as well be stamped "Made in the USA."
As the United States threatens to bomb Iraq for the third time this decade, the irony is brutal: Many of the same politicians, news media outlets, and interest groups that are promoting Gulf War II either supported or ignored the policies of the Reagan and Bush administrations that gave Iraq its deadly arsenal.
In fact, the problem goes far beyond the Middle East: If Saddam Hussein is capable of launching chemical, biological, or nuclear attacks, it will be the result of a long-standing U.S. policy of allowing defense contractors and other powerful corporations to sell the technology of death to almost anyone in the world who is willing to pay for it.
The frontline cheerleader for America's corporate contributors to Saddam, the man who paved the way for Iraq to purchase millions of dollars worth of weapons and dangerous dual-use technology from U.S. corporations, was none other than the architect of Gulf War I, former president George Bush.

"The Bush administration deliberately, not inadvertently, helped to arm Iraq by allowing U.S. technology to be shipped to Iraqi military and to Iraqi defense factories," Gonzalez said. "Throughout the course of the Bush administration, U.S. and foreign firms were granted export licenses to ship U.S. technology directly to Iraqi weapons facilities despite ample evidence showing that these factories were producing weapons."
