LAPD Arrests People Before They Commit Crime: Horace Wants You

by Friends of Urinal Graffiti Saturday, Aug. 19, 2000 at 12:44 PM

I'm Horace and I'm lonely. Won't you show me a good time? 213-485-3586

On Tuesday, the LAPD arrested 45 people before they committed any crime. In their own words: "42 Anarchist Types Arrested For Conspiracy." The juvenile arrestees included a videographer and a photographer who saw the group passig by and chose to document them. They were not part of any protests.

They were arrested for camera-possession.

The videographer's tape which documented the events leading to the arrests "disappeared" while he was in custody (along with the in his wallet). The juvenile potential-criminals have been released with digital ankle bracelets to ensure they can not leave their homes.

The following is how an LAPD press release describes the heroic law officers defeating the anarchist threat:

"The actions of these Los Angeles Police Officers, who constantly put their lives on the line while ensuring for the safety of the community, undoubtedly thwarted a situation that would have escalated to enormous proportions.

For additional information regarding this press release, contact Media Relations Section at 213-485-3586.This press release was prepared by Lieutenant Horace E. Frank, Officer-in-Charge, Media Relations Section. "
