Defend Boyle Heights public meeting

Boyle Heights and others struggling against gentrification throughout Los Angeles, and those wishing to get more involved, are all invited to Defend Boyle Heights' Public Meeting on Wednesday, Jan 25 at 6:30 p.m. at the Wyvernwood Garden Apartments, a militant center of anti-gentrification struggle.

We'll be addressing our call for a boycott against all the new art galleries along Anderson Street and Mission Road and Self-Help Graphics & Art

What you can expect from attending this meeting is:

1.) An understanding why the boycott of Self-Help Graphics & Art and all the new art galleries is important, to be plugged into DBH member/allied groups to build community power, such as Serve the People - Los Angeles, Union de Vecinos, Ovarian Psycos/La Conxa, East Los Angeles Brown Berets, Boyle Heights Alliance Against Artwashing and Displacement, Antena Los Angeles, etc.

2.) How certain nonprofits and city/county agencies in power in Boyle Heights are manipulating and aiding gentrification, like their selling the myth of "affordable" housing.
