Sat. & Sun. - Thanksgiving weekend: Want the alternative to capitalism? Get the BAsics!
Bring your donation for BAsics for yourself and to send to prisoners down to LA County Men's Central Jail, Bauchet & Vignes, notorious for indiscriminate brutality by the County Sheriffs. Make a powerful statement that we see the capacity in all of us to lift our sights and live a life of meaning. Come down to the jail where we will be set up on the corner. Volunteers needed to collect funds with buckets, to get the word out to family members visiting their relatives in jail, to do dramatic readings of letters from prisoners responding to "BAsics, from the talks and writings of Bob Avakian." sends 1 BAsics to a prisoner; 0 fulfills the requests in Alabama and Mississippi; 0 fills requests in Illinois; 0 fills requests in New York. Goal is to raise ,000 for 1500 BAsics to prisoners by year's end. Donations to Prisoners Revolutionary Literature Fund (prlf.org) are tax-deductible.
