Join us on 3-8 at 12 noon for a loud demonstration at the open air housing auction. Amplified sound is not allowed because of it's proximity to the courthouse- so bring whistles, drums, bells, and any other type of noisemaker that you can dream up!
This demonstration is to demand that Governor Brown take action. Brown has the authority and the legal wherewithal to take charge of the crisis.
We demand that Governor Brown
- Declare a State of Emergency
- Impose a two-year Moratorium that stops banks from foreclosing on people's homes
- Force the Banks to lower the principal of mortgages to the real value of homes in California
- Force the Banks to reduce mortage payments for all unemployed homeowners in California
- Create a WPA style jobs programs to put millions back to work.
