Friday, Feb. 11, 7:30pm 137 N. Virgil Ave, # 203 Los Angeles 90004
Join the Party for Socialism and Liberation this Friday, Feb. 11, for a special public forum in Los Angeles. We’ll have political discussion, video footage, snacks, drinks and interactive presentations. Learn about the ongoing peoples’ struggle in Egypt and the rest of the Middle East.
The Egyptian revolution has reached a decisive stage as the people of Egypt fight off government-backed goons and the police, demanding the ouster of U.S.-backed dictator, Hosni Mubarak. This rebellion is a heroic response to U.S. imperialism that has inspired hundreds of thousands of people in the Middle East to rise up. Join us for a discussion on:
* The historical context of the Egyptian people's uprising * How the struggle in Egypt impacts the rest of the Arab world * Where is the struggle at now and where is it headed? * The role of the U.S.-funded Israeli state in the region * What we can do to help defeat U.S. imperialism from inside the “belly of the beast”
PLUS, get involved with the people's struggle right here:
* Discuss the case of Douglas Zerby, killed by Long Beach cops, how to get involved in the struggle for justice * Update on March 19 anti-war protest in Los Angeles and how you can join the movement
