Khaled Abu Toameh Speaks About Peace Efforts in the Middle East: An Israeli Arab journalist speaks about the Hamas-Fatah power struggle and its effect on the peace process
Khaled Abu Toameh, the Israeli Arab journalist, is coming to Berkeley! He will be speaking about "The Hamas-Fatah power struggle and its impact on the peace process."
Khaled Abu Toameh is the West Bank and Gaza correspondent for the Jerusalem Post. He previously served as a writer for US News and World Report, The Jerusalem Report, and Al-Fajr. He has produced several documentaries on the Palestinians for the BBC and other networks, including some that exposed the connection between Arafat and payments to the armed wing of Fatah and the financial corruption within the Palestinian Authority.
Mr. Abu Toameh received his BA in English Literature from the Hebrew University and currently lives in Jerusalem with his wife and three children.
