Some of Us Are Brave, a Black women’s radio program that airs on KPFK-90.7 FM in Los Angeles, will sponsor a screening of “Ebony Goddesses: Queen of Ile Aiye” and “Cinderella, Wolves and One Prince Charming,” during the 18th Annual Pan African Film Festival, Tuesday, Feb. 16, 9:45 p.m., at the Culver Plaza Theatres, 9919 W. Washington Blvd., Culver City. The films examine efforts to redefine the concept of beauty from an African-centered point of view, and the lives of women who view sex tourism as their ticket out of poverty. The films will be shown together and there will be a short Q-and-A session afterwards. Tickets for this event are and can be purchased at the theater.
