DESCRIPTION:
Oct. 7 Protest Info below

What: Stop the War Protest (On the 8th Anniversary of the Invasion of Afghanistan)

U.S./NATO Out of Afghanistan! Money for Health Care, Jobs, Education & Housing--Not War!

When: Wed, Oct. 7, 6pm

Where: Westwood Federal Building: 11000 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles

Who: Oct. 7 protest initiated by the ANSWER Coalition. Endorsed by March Forward!; Ron Kovic, Vietnam veteran, author, \\"Born on the 4th of July\\"; Blase & Theresa Bonpane, Office of the Americas, Veterans for Peace, Military Families Speak Out-Orange County, National Council of Arab Americans; Al-Awda, the Palestine Right to Return Coalition; South Asian Network, Afghan Women\\'s Mission, Muslim American Society Freedom, and others.

Why: This is the moment for the anti-war movement to be back in the streets. We can make a difference. The Obama administration and the Pentagon are now at a crossroads. They are debating whether to send tens of thousands more troops in a major escalation of the war. Thousands of Afghans, Pakistanis and U.S. military personnel will be killed and wounded unless we stop the war. Only the people have the power to do this. Let\\'s get back into the streets and say \\"No more war!\\"
