JOIN THE PARADE

December 7th in Studio City

Neighbors for Peace and Justice is marching in the 14th Annual Studio City Holiday Parade!!!

Help us fill the street this holiday season with people carrying candles for peace!

ARRIVAL TIME - 5PM

Parade is scheduled to begin at 5:30PM

It runs west to east on Ventura Blvd. from Whitsett Ave. to Laurel Canyon Blvd.

Let?s make a good showing for peace in these troubled times.

If you have never been able to join us on a Friday night, then here is your opportunity

to march for peace down the main drag in Studio City with thousands of spectators ringing in the new year and better days to come.

Travel Directions for people coming to Studio City from other areas:

From the West Side, take the 405North to the 134East (toward Los Angeles), exit at Coldwater Canyon Blvd, turn Right on Coldwater Canyon,

proceed south to Moorpark Ave, turn Left, go East on Moorpark to Whitset Blvd, turn Right, go South to Ventura Ct, turn Left for parking structure.

Or look for a place to park BEFORE Ventura Ct.

Coming from Hollywood, take the Hollywood Freeway North to the 134, transition 134 West and take the Coldwater Canyon exit,

turn Left onto Coldwater Canyon, follow same directions as above.

(Another option is to use the Laurel Canyon Exit on the 134.

Proceeding south on Laurel Canyon to Ventura Blvd takes you to the "end" point of the parade.)

PARKING

1. Beginning at 2:00pm, Parade Participants can park their non-parade vehicles FREE OF

CHARGE in the Studio City Parking Garage at 12225 Ventura Blvd. (entrance located

between Romanov?s Restaurant and Bank of America). NOTE: Ventura Blvd. will be

closed at 4:00pm, so any cars parked in the Studio City Parking Garage after that

time will not be able to leave until the parade is over and Ventura Blvd. is reopened.

2. Place the attached HOLIDAY PARADE PARKING PERMIT on the dash of your car.

If you come later than 4PM or prefer to park on the street in the surrounding area in any case,

then you may have to walk several blocks after parking. It depends on the turnout.

STAGING AREA

Once you are parked, please proceed to the staging area on Ventura Court (at the corner of Whitset Blvd & Ventura Ct).

An NPJ volunteer will direct you to our staging spot on Ventura Ct.

Or ask for NPJ's "entry number" at the CHECK-IN table on Ventura Court just behind Gary?s Tux (12457 Ventura Blvd.).

At the NPJ staging location we will have a large banner, a number of large signs, and candles.

We will need volunteers to carry the banner and signs, and everyone gets a candle.

We will wait at this location until called up for the parade.
