Why Working People Should Oppose

the Death Penalty

No to the Execution of Troy Davis!

The death penalty has long been a weapon in the hands of the rulers to terrorize working people.

It is part of the arsenal of weapons used by the owners of capital to try to deal blows to the rising resistance, confidence, and increased combativeness among growing numbers of workers in the United States.

On October 14, the U.S. Supreme Court refused to hear the appeal of Troy Davis, on death row, framed-up in the killing of a police officer. But 7 of 9 witnesses recanted their testimony against him. The U.S. Supreme Court also refused to hear arguments for a new trial for Mumia Abu-Jamal who has spent more than 25 years on death row after being framed up on charges of killing a Philadelphia cop in 1981.

No a la ejecución de Troy Davis!

La pene de muerte por mucho tiempo ha sido utilizado como herramienta en las manos de los gobernantes para aterrorizar el pueblo trabajador

Es parte del arsenal de armas usado por los dueños de capital para combatir la resistencia creciente, confianza, y combatividad incrementado entre un numero creciente de trabajadores en los EE.UU.

En el 14 de octubre, la Corte Suprema EE.UU. negó escuchar la apelación de Troy Davis, en bajo la pena de muerte, con cargos falsos de matar un policía. Pero 7 de los 9 testigos han retractado sus testimonios en contra de él. La Corte Suprema también negó oír argumentos por un nuevo tribunal por Mumia Abu-Jamal quien ha estado encarcelado por mas que 25 años bajo pena de muerte por cargos falsos de matar un policía en 1981.
