Featuring, Haneen Zoabi, Palestinian political leader and activist

Join us for a special ANSWER public forum on Palestine this Thursday, May 15, in Los Angeles. The featured speaker will be Haneen Zoabi, a member of the political bureau of the National Democratic Assembly (Al-Tajamu\' al-Watani al-Dimuqrati), a political party inside the 1948 borders of occupied Palestine. May 15 is the actual day that marks 60 years of Al-Nakba ("The Catastrophe") when 800,000 Palestinians were forcibly expelled from their homes by the Zionist invading forces. 

Ms. Zoabi is from Nazareth and has served as a lecturer at Mar Elias College in Ibillin, Palestine. She is in the United States to spread awareness about the plight of Palestinians inside apartheid Israel, and to point out the essential role of Palestinian women in the struggle to return to their homes and land. 

Ms. Zoabi will be speaking again on Saturday at the 6th annual Al-Awda Convention in Orange County. There will be many other speakers at this important convention as well, including ANSWER organizers. To register, go to http://www.al-awda.org/. We encourage everyone to attend.
