Impeachment 101: How Impeachment Serves a Democracy!

Golden West College, Forum I @ 7 PM - April 5th (Sat.).

15744 Goldenwest St., Huntington Beach, CA 92647

League of Women Voters of Orange Coast will be moderating and the Golden West Office of Student Activities is sponsoring.

Our community forum will explore the historical role of impeachment, why the Founding Fathers' included impeachment so prominently in the Constitution and its role today in the face of major crises. More importantly, the question of why it hasn't happened this time around will be explored in depth. Bring your own questions to participate in this important and timely discussion.

Our panelists:

Marjorie Cohn is Professor of Law at the Thomas Jefferson School of Law, San Diego, CA; and current president of the National Lawyers Guild. www.marjoriecohn.com

and, Stephen Rohde is a constitutional lawyer, lecturer, writer and political activist. He is a past President of both the ACLU of Southern California and the Beverly Hills Bar Association and is a founder of Interfaith Communities United for Justice and Peace.

We would love to fill up Forum I (300 seat capacity- free open to the public) with students and anyone else who is concerned about defending and protecting the U.S. Constitution.
