Who We Are:
The Comite de Mujeres Patricia Marin (CMPM) is a project of Union del Barrio. The CMPM has been organizing women in the community for approximately 10 years in San Diego and 1 year in Los Angeles. CMPM-LA consists of a group of active and progressive, Raza women from the local communities of Los Angeles, CA committed to the struggle for self-determination of our people. As activists, we come together every month in order to learn our history as women in the struggle, and develop our political education and participation as revolutionary women.
As part of our political participation we organize community events, forums, and workshops on issues affecting women and our community. (Immigration, Health, Education, Feminicide, Leadership, etc.)
