* Economy Sinks, Workers Suffer: There is a serious capitalist economic crisis unfolding. The U.S. government and its backers are scrambling to stave off complete economic meltdown. The Bush-Democrat "stimulus" package totaling 0 billion is making its way through Congress. The Federal Reserve has cut its prime interest rate and more cuts may come. Do these actions help workers? No, both are meant to bail out big business at the expense of our class. Discuss the spiraling economic crisis and why a different kind of economy is needed.

* State Attacks on Immigrants Rise: Immigrant labor is a central component to the U.S. capitalist economy. Yet, the capitalists are heightening their attacks on undocumented workers. States all over the country are passing racist, anti-immigrant legislation Meanwhile, the bourgeois presidential candidates are remaining completely silent as they court the "Latino vote." Hear about the laws, the movement rising against them and the overall economic backdrop.

* Marxist View of National Oppression: The base of society is founded in economics--the mode of production. In the U.S., the economic system is capitalism. Racism and national oppression flow from the top of society--the capitalist owners--as a means of dividing the working class and increasing exploitation and oppression. Hear about what national oppression is from a Marxist perspective and how to fight its vicious manifestations, like racism against Black, Latino, Asian, Arab, Native American and other workers.

Plus: update on La Riva/Puryear 2008 PSL Presidential Elections Campaign and report on Liberation newspaper sales.
