On the 5th Anniversary of the Iraq Invasion Mass March to End the War & Occupation in L.A. Southern California Regional Mobilization
Saturday, March 15, 12 noon Gather Hollywood and Vine, Los Angeles Map and directions Public transportation
March 2008 is 5th anniversary of the criminal war and occupation of Iraq. This is now the second longest war in U.S. history. Over 1 million Iraqis and nearly 4,000 U.S. soldiers have died in this war based on corporate profits and lies. The people of the world must make our voices heard.
In Los Angeles, the ANSWER Coalition is initiating a Mass March to End the War & Occupation on Saturday, March 15. It will be a huge regional action with people coming from all over Southern California and beyond to mount the biggest possible protest against the war. We urge anti-war groups and individuals from across the surrounding area to mobilize with us for this central action. It will be organized in the same spirit of unity as the successful Oct. 27, 2007 L.A. protest.
ANSWER also is calling for Wednesday, March 19 to be a day of "No Business As Usual." This day, the actual date of the invasion in 2003, will be a day of actions across Southern California and the country -- in cities and towns, and at schools, job sites, recruiting stations and everywhere.
Help us organize these important actions. Let's bring thousands of veterans, military families, students, working people and everyone possible to the streets on March 15, and hold coordinated actions on March 19.
