In 1868 the people of Puerto Rico riseup against the Spanish Empire and Declare Puerto Rico an Independent Nation after 72 hours the Rebellion was stop the Independence Movements have always observe and Celebrate's this Heroric Act by the Woman and Men that had the Revolutionary Courage to think for there Land, People and all living things as we struggle still today in spite of the Imperalist and Colonilist can not and never will Kill our spirit and right to live as a Free/People and we will struggle till that day comes. It has more significant for us to both Observe and Celebrate this day since the US Government attempted to Kill Our Spirit by Murdering our Comandante Filiberto Ojeda Rios on September 23, 2005. This Murder has only serve to Increase the Independence Movement ranks with Young and Old Puerto Ricans. This why we say Toda Somos Macheteros.
