SpokeN\\'Dissent \\"Dissent is Patroitic\\" ride

This mouth we will be celebrating are countries declaration of indepedence, by exercising our free speech..

Free speech bicycle ride, focusing in on the US lead energy wars, and other social issues of the day.

We meet at 12noon and ride whenever everybody is ready to go. We have a rolling PA system with music

and wireless microphones, to allow you to express your self to passerbyers as we ride down the street.

Think of old soap box style speeches, but on bicycles. Come with a good attitude. All who are willing to practices non-violence for this ride, socially aware of justice issue are welcomed and encourage to come.

We will end at the Bicycle film festival block party at Melrose and Helitrope.

The ride will go whereever the particpants decide we should take it.



Bring your bicycle in good working condition, a tube or patch repair incase of flat, things to say. Bring a sign or banner to attach to yourself or your bicycle. Bring water and protect your self from the suns rays as necessary.

We will be having a banner making party a week prior at a Private Residence in Chavez Revine/Solano Park Area of Los Angeles, a week prior. Sunday June 24, 2007 at 2pm. We will provide, poles paint and canvas, to paint , etc.. Brings some ideas of what you want to put on your sign, along with something to drink, bring a friend, (please no pets). We will have refreshment for you. Bring anything you may want to use, yourself for the art. If your not going to make it to this ride and want to make a bike banner for future rides, you are invited to come and do so.
