STOP THE RAIDS - JUSTICE FOR IMMIGRANTS!
During the week of the president\'s state of the union address, another 800 immigrant workers were swept up in raids carried out by the U.S. government..
Only a few weeks earlier, 1,300 workers at Swift meatpacking plants throughout the country had been arrested.
This racist campaign must be - and can be - stopped! Organizing for the second Great American Boycott is underway. A National Immigrant Rights Planning Conference on February 3rd & 4th will be the next step in building for a Mayday 2007 boycott.
On Friday, Feb 2nd at 4 pm come to a protest against the raids at the Downtown Federal Building. The protest will continue, and will be a great backdrop during a 5 pm press conference that announces the February 3rd & 4th Immigrant Rights Conference.
