Join ANSWER at a meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 5. There will be speakers, action planning and political discussion.

* Eyewitness Report from Cuba: ANSWER activist Carlos Alvarez traveled to Cuba to attend celebrations for president Fidel Castro's 80th birthday and the 50th anniversary of the landing of the Granma on the shores of Cuba. Hear about the celebrations and how the Cuban people are resisting U.S. aggression. Find out what you can do to get involved with the movement in solidarity with Cuba.

* Politicians Fiddle, Iraq Burns: Bush’s criminal war against Iraq has failed. Military victory is unachievable. Now the two parties of imperialism are attempting to avoid a catastrophic defeat or the appearance of a catastrophic defeat. This is pretty much how the Vietnam War appeared to the policymakers of both parties by 1968. How many more Iraqis will have to be killed, raped or maimed so that the U.S. government can avoid the appearance of defeat? Should one more U.S. soldier give their life so that the Pentagon can spin its losses for the media? Hear an update on the Iraq war and find out the latest in nearby Lebanon.

* The Struggle Against Police Brutality: After a political and legal struggle, and recent revelations of police brutality in LA, the charges against anti-Minutemen activists brutalized by police have been dropped. This is a victory, but the struggle against racist police violence continues. From Sean Bell in NY to Kathryn Johnston in Atlanta to Susie Peña in LA - racist violence against African American and Latino communities, and all others, must stop. Learn about the role of police and how we can unite to stop police brutality.

Plus: Help organize the Dec. 15 benefit for victims of police brutality in LA. Click here to download a flyer.
