In this time of growing dissent, it is more important than ever that the people have a voice. Come learn how to make your voice heard with Radio IMC Los Angeles! Join Radio IMC-LA members on February 3, 2003 at 7:00 for an information and training session.

We will teach you:

-- The basics of audio production,

-- How to create your own radio journalism pieces,

-- How to broadcast your stories.

Who -- Anyone who's sick of corporate media lies and government propaganda

What -- An information and training session for budding independent radio journalists and commentators.

Where -- The Los Angeles Independent Media Center, 3806 Beverly Blvd. (at Vermont), Suite 201 (across from the Vermont/Beverly Metro stop)

When -- February 3rd, 2003 at 7:00 pm

Why? -- Because, "A free press stands as one of the great interpreters between the government and the people. To allow it to be fettered is to be fettered ourselves." George Sutherland, 1935.

American media is almost totally controlled by ten massive corporations. Independent Media Centers (IMCs) worldwide give people like us a chance to speak out in our own voices while providing an authentic alternative to whitewash journalism, corporate shills, and right-wing propaganda.

Radio IMC-LA is an independent audio collective within the Los Angeles IMC which produces six hours of news and commentary audio each week for rebroadcast on webstation killradio.org.

If you are a student, an activist, or simply a concerned citizen, we want to help you to tell your stories. You can become the media. Join on February 3, 2003 at 7:00 at the Los Angeles Independent Media Center. Contact us at radioimcla@doityourself.com for more details.
