DESCRIPTION:
Transport Gallery is excited to announce a show of lively photography by Glenn Campbell and Justin Winokur from June 3, 2006 through July 15, 2006. There will be an opening reception on Saturday, June 3 from 6:30-10:30 p.m.

Glenn Campbell is an LA-based celebrity publicity photographer with two decades of experience, most of it using the latest in digital technology. He\'s also a 10-year Burning Man veteran with seven years of ?klowning? under his belt with the Porn Clown Posse and the Hella Klowns -- two performance art troupes of sexy, pervy, confrontational klowns bent on culture jamming and enforcing fun on the unsuspecting public. His selections from this show were chosen from over 10,000 images he has shot of the klowns during the past 7 years.

\"We klown because we want to excite people while making them think at the same time,\" Campbell says. ?The visual energy the klowns put off has to be captured, so I have dedicated a lot of my time and resources to shooting the klowns as they pull of their spontaneous events across the country.?, says Campbell.

Justin Winokur had a blog. It got famous. When his girlfriend dumped him and his high-tech job fired him on the same day, he tapped his \'Net fame and asked readers and fans around the country if he could come stay with them. He spent the next year on the road, driving his little red car to his readers\' homes and taking pictures of their lives.

\"I wanted to turn the tables and show them that people on the internet were real,\" Winokur says, \"and I wanted to make THEM the entertainment.\"

Transport Gallery is located at 1308 Factory Place, Downtown Los Angeles, CA 90013 (just East of Alameda and one block North of 6th Street). Its primary focus is the exposure of challenging contemporary art by regional and international artists in all disciplines. The gallery is open by appointment only. To schedule an appointment please call 310-956-5344. For more information on Transport Gallery visit www.transportgallery.com.
