You may have heard KELLY's moving accounts of her two trips to Iraq where she traveled to promote peace and to advocate on behalf of Iraqi women and children.

KELLY supports the reform efforts of CA Clean Money and is the only major candidate in her race who is following the guidelines proposed in the pending legislation, observing voluntary campaign expenditure limits.

You may have heard that the Los Angeles County Women's Commission named KELLY a 2004 Woman of the Year! KELLY served on the Santa Monica Commission on the Status of Women for seven years.

KELLY started the Women's Health Campaign to hold pharmaceutical corporations accountable for the deadly products they market to women.

Maybe you know about KELLY's long leadership for environmental protection.? As executive director of the Coalition for Clean Air and as Lt. Gov. Leo McCarthy's environmental representative, KELLY fought to protect our coast from offshore oil drilling.? Recently, KELLY helped NRDC's efforts to phase out dirty diesel school buses.

KELLY is also a proven leader and advocate for consumer rights, healthcare, working families, seniors, civil liberties and education policies. Believing public education is one of the best things government does, Kelly restored vocational programs at community colleges when working on the "Put the Community Back in our College" campaign. She also served as a spokesperson and fought Ron Unz to defeat Prop. 227 to support children's choice for bilingual education. Kelly recently joined others in suing President Bush over the No Child Left Behind Act.

Now she is putting herself on the line and running for State Assembly from the 41st district which includes Agoura Hills, Calabasas, Encino, Hidden Hills, Malibu, Oxnard, Pacific Palisades, Port Hueneme, Santa Monica, Tarzana, Topanga, Westlake Village and Woodland Hills.

KELLY is endorsed by the Sierra Club, Congresswoman Maxine Waters, the National Women's Political Caucus, Martin Sheen, Jackson Browne, Don Henley and Ed Begley, Jr., and among other progressive individuals and organizations.
