ORGANIZE FOR MAY 1 BOYCOTT, NO TO ANTI-IMMIGRANT RAIDS

Join A.N.S.W.E.R. this Tuesday for political updates, organizing and discussion. Get involved in the movement for immigrant rights and social justice. Topics discussed will include:

* MAY 1 BOYCOTT & MARCH ORGANIZING: May 1 is only one week away. It promises to be a day of action in Los Angeles and all over the United States. A.N.S.W.E.R. is doing mass outreach every day, building for the boycott and Olympic & Broadway demonstration at 12 noon. Come on Tuesday to help organize an outreach plan for the week. Bring your energy and ideas - get involved!

* WHAT'S BEHIND THE RACIST IMMIGRATION RAIDS? This past week, the U.S. government has launched a coordinated attack on undocumented workers, overwhelmingly Latino, and the companies that employ them. More almost 1,200 undocumented workers have been arrested and threatened with deportation in 26 states, including California. What's behind these recent government raids? Why are they coming now when the immigrant rights movement is growing? Hear answers to these questions and discuss what we can do to stop them.

* U.S. THREATS AGAINST IRAN: The U.S. government is on a massive campaign to isolate Iran and demonize its people. It's being assisted by European imperialists Britain and France, the International Atomic Energy Agency and the UN. Although these countries and their allies possess tens of thousands of nuclear weapons, they want Iran to halt its nuclear program. Discuss why progressives in the U.S. must defend Iran's right to self-determination and development and vigorously oppose all U.S. threats against the sovereign country.
