Stop Terrorism and Oppression by The Police -- Urgent Needs

With your help and support, the families have come to this point where

it

really matters!

Brunston Case needs you on:

February 14: Tuesday - Compton City Hall

February 21: Tuesday - L.A. Superior Court

Please join the family of Deandre Brunston at the Compton City Council

meeting 7pm, Tuesday, 14 February, Compton City Hall, Compton Blvd &

Willowbrook, to demand that the Compton City Government terminate its

contract with the violent and ineffective Sheriff's Department, and

that

it reinstate a local police force under full authority of an all-

elected,

all-civilian, police control board.

Deandre was killed by Sheriff's Deputies 24 August, 2003, shot over 80

times and hit 22, while unarmed. The Brunston family trial begins

Tuesday, 21 February, in L.A. Superior Court, 111 No. Hill St, Dept.

Sheriffs Deputies last year fired 120 rounds at an unarmed Compton man,

also hitting a fellow Deputy and several neighboring homes. The alien

force has been ineffective in addressing rising violence in Compton and

all its jurisdictions, including the County Prisons.
