Two Films: - Panther (A dramatized account of the story of The Black Panther Party for Self-Defense)
- Black Liberation (a segment on a documentary on how COINTELPRO - the Counter Intelligence Program -- was used to destroy the Black Liberation movement).
Followed by a Presentation by Families fighting and and organizing to get justice for their family members who have been murdered by the police and a presentation by Cop Watch and how people can participate in resisting and organizing to stop police brutality and police murder.
-Norma Martinez who's son Gonzalo Martinez was murdered by Downey PD on February 15, 2002 and shot over 30 times while unarmed.
-Keisha Brunston who's nephew Deandre Brunston Deandre was killed by Sheriff's Deputies in Compton 24 August, 2003, shot over 80 times and hit 22, while unarmed.
-Sherman Austin/Joaquin Cienfuegos of the Los Angeles and Long Beach Cop Watch Chapter
There will be a discussion and dialogue on ending police brutality once and for all, building this movement, getting involved, and supporting upcoming actions to stop police brutality and support for the families.

Please join the family of Deandre Brunston at the Compton City Council meeting 7pm, Tuesday, 14 February, Compton City Hall, Compton Blvd & Willowbrook, to demand that the Compton City Government terminate its contract with the violent and ineffective Sheriff's Department, and that it reinstate a local police force under full authority of an all- elected, all-civilian, police control board.
Deandre was killed by Sheriff's Deputies 24 August, 2003, shot over 80 times and hit 22, while unarmed. The Brunston family trial begins Tuesday, 21 February, in L.A. Superior Court, 111 No. Hill St, Dept. 20.
Sheriffs Deputies last year fired 120 rounds at an unarmed Compton man, also hitting a fellow Deputy and several neighboring homes. Officer Brian Baker who was responsible was promoted to detective. We must continue fighting and seeking justice for this Stolen Life.
