WHERE: Outside Sen. Clinton Fundraiser at the home of Marta Kauffman

335 Rimpau (near 3rd St.) in Hancock Park section of Los Angeles

WHO: Iraq Veterans Against the War and CodePink Women for Peace will

distribute copies of Sen. Clinton's pro-war voting record to donors and hold

banners that read "Bring the Troops Home Now!" and "Hillary, take a REAL stand

for America- Troops Home Now."

Join Iraq Veterans Against the War and CodePink Women for Peace, outside a 'Hollywood'

star-studded fundraiser for Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton to challenge the potential

2008 Presidential candidate's support for the war in Iraq.

Senator Clinton voted to authorize President Bush to use force in Iraq and, like most

Senate Democrats, has done little to bring the troops home. Clinton, in fact,

has filed legislation calling for more troops.

''The vast majority of the Americans are opposed to this war," said Tim

Goodrich, co-founder of Iraq Veterans Against the War. "We must hold our

elected officials accountable to the people they represent and make them show some

leadership by bringing our troops home now."

To date, 1,970 Americans have been killed in the war in Iraq. So far this

month, 37 American troops lost their lives, and in September 49 American troops

died in Iraq.

A CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll last month found that 59 percent of people

surveyed considered the 2003 invasion of Iraq a mistake, 63 percent said they wanted

to see some or all U.S. troops withdrawn, and only 32 percent approved of

Bush's handling of the conflict.

"Since CodePink was founded before the war began, we have never been afraid

of holding both Republican and Democratic leaders' feet to the fire," said

CodePink organizer Tiffany Burns. "This is a war based on lies and it's time

Sen. Clinton said so."

Senator Clinton will be visiting the Los Angeles area this weekend to attend a series of

high-dollar donor fundraisers including this luncheon held at a private home on

Saturday, October 15th, hosted by Hollywood celebrity couples and Democratic Party

supporters Barbara Streisand and James Brolin, Danny Devito and Rhea Perlman.

The invitation to the luncheon reads "we must stand with Senator Clinton as

she stands up for what we believe in. Hillary is and always has been our

champion in the White House and the Senate" And she's "strongest, most passionate

and intelligent Democrats"

For more information call CodePink's Tiffany at (310) 827-4320.
