FREE to a Good Home
is a fictional feature film from first time filmmaker, Judy Crozier. The film has been in the making for four years and this is a fundraiser to raise the additional funds for picture lock and sound mixing.
The rough cut, which will be screened here, has received high praise.
The film tells the story and struggles of its fictional main character, Tala, played by Katherine Norland. She moves from Wyoming to Los Angeles and finds out about the harsh realities of pet overpopulation in Los Angeles.
Filming took place in Wyoming and in Shelters in Los Angeles and Long Beach. Judy and Katherine shot in and around Los Angeles, interacting with the strays they found in South Los Angeles and East Los Angeles.
The screenings are at 2PM and 8PM on Saturday, April 2nd
