DESCRIPTION:
Los Angeles-based performers have joined together to raise funds for humanitarian relief efforts in Southeast Asia. The afternoon of dance, music and poetry will take place at The Workmen?s Circle. All proceeds will go to the American Jewish World Service (AJWS) Asia Tsunami Relief Fund.

The benefit performance will feature new works by local artists in memory of the tsunami victims, classical Indian music and dance, and Middle Eastern folk music and dance. Performers scheduled to appear include actor Lee Boek, classical Indian musician, composer and performer David Trasoff, well-known folk singer Ross Altman, choreographer and dancer Susan Goldberg, Middle Eastern percussionist Jamie Papish, poet Hubie Vine, Indian classicist John Markus, the Alef Project, and political satire and music from Billionaires for Bush.
