New May 29 Tuesday 7-9pm, Santa Ana: OC Racial Justice Collaborative book club discussion New Jim Crow @ Youth-on-the-Move, Inc. Hqt., 1850 E. 17th. Street #103 For 2018, we are going to go chapter-by-chapter through The New Jim Crow by Michelle Alexander for our monthly book club discussion. In May, we will read Chapter 4. We will be using The New Jim Crow Study Guide and Call to Action to frame our discussions, which can be downloaded for free here: http:// www.newjimcroworganizing.or g/studyguide-free.htmlWe will discuss Chapter 5 during our June reading discussion. After we finish the book, we will read Building a Movement to End the New Jim Crow and then at the end of the year we will watch the film 13th by Ava DuVernay.
