On April 23, 2017 the people of Los Angeles unite to denounce military interventions, wars, and war crimes the United States is culpable for.

On April 23, 2017 we unite to call for demilitarization,

de-escalation, & diplomacy in Syria, Yemen, & Iraq. We call on our

human family around the world to join us in demanding a demilitarized world. NO MORE WAR. NO MORE INTERVENTIONS. NO BLOOD FOR OIL. THE WAR ON TERROR IS AN INVENTION TO MAINTAIN THE U.S. IN A STATE OF PERPETUAL WAR BECAUSE THE U.S. THRIVES ON A WAR ECONOMY. WE SAY NO TO THE WAR ECONOMY. DOWN WITH THE WEAPON CORPORATION! DOWN WITH THE WEAPONS SALES. WE ARE TOO CREATIVE, BEAUTIFUL, AND GENIUS TO CONTINUE ALLOWING TO BOMB HUMANITY'S FUTURE AWAY.

Where as the United States national formation was based on the

invasion, genocide, & looting of indigenous populations and the land,

Where as the United States mass abducted people from Africa to supply labor for its empire and has institutionally waged genocide on Africa-descended peoples ever since,

Where as the United States has been intervening militarily around the world since it's inception to build it's empire, (resource:

Where as the Project for a New American Century was drafted by

neo-conservatives in the 1990s and explicitly declares targeting

Middle Eastern nations to preserve U.S. global dominance and preserve American "interest,"

Where as the majority of the Project for a New American Century

composed the Bush Administration,

Where as the United States invaded Iraq in 2003 based off of lies

(Bush lied over 900 times to justify the invasion),

Where as private security and weapons corporations profited enormously from U.S. invasion in the Middle East,

Where as the U.S. took over Iraq's oil in the "Reconstruction" of Iraq, Where as the first U.S. soldier to die in Iraq was an undocumented 22 year old Guatemalan, Jose Gutierrez

Where as ISIS was birthed out of the war crimes and mass incarceration of Iraqis during the invasion of Iraq,

Where as the U.S. used white phosphorous in Iraq, which is a war crime,

Where as the U.S. war in Iraq left behind tons of depleted uranium,

now causing extreme birth defects and high rates of cancer,

Where as the U.S. carries out multi-billion dollar weapon sales with Saudi Arabia, despite the Saudi Arabia coalition's indiscriminate mass murder of Yemeni civilians.

Where as the U.S. has Special Forces on the ground in Syria, Iraq, and Yemen

Where as U.S. airstrikes have been killing civilians for years but

have risen sharply under the Trump administration,

Where as personnel from defense companies occupy the highest ranks in the Trump Administration (

Where as the United States has the largest military budget in the

world-equivalent to the next 7 countries' military budgets but Trump wants to increase spending by billion,

Where as Yemen has seen more drone and airstrikes in the past 3 months than in the past year,

Where as Yemen in on the brink of famine,

Where as the U.S. is one of the largest weapons producers and

distributors in the world,

Where as the weapons produced by U.S. companies and sold by the U.S. are used for murder,

Where as the "War on Terror" is a deceptive phrase to induce fear and generate consent to a never ending war. Terror is an ambiguous term arbitrarily/manipulatively applied by the U.S. to invade, mass murder, and steal and not be accountable to the own terror it creates. In it's war on terror, the U.S. militarism wages extreme terror, which fuels more violence.

Where as Trump's foreign policy is escalation in the Middle East...

The people of Los Angeles call the world to resist U.S. war and

intervention. We are too beautiful, too brilliant, too creative, and

too genius to not demilitarize, demobilize, de-escalate, reintegrate, and heal ourselves and each other. If our leaders cannot lead us to peace, diplomacy, and healing, they are not qualified to lead us. Any U.S. leader complicit in mass murder in Syria, Yemen, and Iraq is an illegitimate leader and is culpable of war crimes- especially those with financial ties to weapons companies.
