actually raisethefist does have support from the lawyers guild, along with unions including people whom sherman knows, and many many activist groups. Raisethefist has a very diverse crowed of support, everyone from liberals to anarchists, black nationalists, brown beretts, communists, punks, socialists, democrats, muslims, reformists, radicals, etc., So , eh, don't you feel stupid.

rtf isn't tue to the cause. distributing bomb making information is not what our peace movement should be about. and not promoting violence against the police either. non-violent civil disobedience maybe, but not bombs and hateful invectives to law enforcement. you can count me out of this party.

Do you even think about what's going to show up on the screen before you start vomiting such nonsense?
Please tell us what UNIONS are supporting poor little rich boy sherman?
And please tell us how his network of UTTER deluded simpletons is in any way indicative of anything other than what a loser is is to begin with?

cheryl, first of all, raisethefist.com does not distribute bomb-making information. A small "protest guide" referred to as the "reclaim guide" (which I DID NOT author by the way) was posted on the site over a year ago. A small portion of this had information on homemade explosives, nothing you wouldn't be able to find in any library or on thousands of web sites on the internet. I myself know nothing about explosives, in fact I barely even looked at the guide before it was posted. I quickly skimmed through it not reading every detail before it was linked from the main page of the web site. But of course none of this matters to people who like to make quick assumptions, does it? Secondly, raisethefist is not affiliated with any "peace movement" or passive civil disobedience. Personally, I don't see what the "peace movement" has accomplished since 9-11, except attempting to legitimize the illegitimate false-hood of social patriotism by waving american flags and pleading with the most violent and repressive government in the world to stop it's war by holding picket signs and spending thousands and thousands of $$$ on redundant marches which haven't accomplished anything. All of that money could have gone to other projects, better projects which could have had a greater impact on our communities. Projects which could have empowered and educated our communities. I don't see how networks like Raise the Fist hurt a "movement" which is already hurting it's self. Raise the Fist doesn't advocate change through passive resistance. I've got no problem admitting that, the self-defense section on the web site is pretty self-explanatory. Does that mean raise the fist advocates violence? Who determines violence? What's violence? Is it violent for a man or women to defend themselves when they are the constant victim of brutal attacks? Is it violent for a woman to hit a man who is trying to rape her? You call this violence, I call this self-defense. Passive resistance isn't about fighting back. It's about taking a beating and being tossed in jail or the grave. And that's been happening to us for the past 400 and 500 years. This doesn't call for the liberal doctrine of passive non-violent reform. It calls for revolutionary resistance and self defense. But if you think your peace movement is doing just fine spending large sums of money on protests, then ask Dialo, Shankofa, Mumia or Peltier how they're doin.
And fresca, if I was some rich boy then please explain why I have a public defender instead of hiring a private attorney for $10,000+. If I was some rich kid I wouldn't even be in this mess today. I could buy my way out of it. Secondly, you don't know the first thing about me so i'd suggest you learn a bit more before making yourself look ignorant and stupid.

The US is "the most violent and repressive government in the world". That's why thousands and thousands every year petition to become citizens and many risk their lives on rickety boats to float to Miami or cross the Rio Grande. North Korea and China are the People's Paradise.
>All of that money could have gone to other projects, better projects which could have had a greater impact on our communities. Projects which could have empowered and educated our communities.
People are always willing to give away what personally cost them nothing.
Reminds of the the two farmers walking down the road.
Farmer 1: Let me ask you, if you had two mules, would you give me one of them?
Farmer 2: Sure I would. You know we're friends and have been since we were kids. I'd gladly give you one of my mules.
Farmer 1: Let me ask you, if you had two bales of cotton, would you give me one of them?
Farmer 2: As good of friends as we are, if I had two bales of cotton, you know I would give you one, sure would.
Farmer 1: Let me ask you this. If you had two hogs, would you give me one of them?
Farmer 2: Ah, man. You knows I got two hogs.

In addition to dead horses, it seems that brigg also has a thing for mules, too.
