REASONS TO IMPEACH GEORGE W. BUSH

by Join the Impeach Bush Movement Now Friday, Mar. 28, 2003 at 11:28 AM

Please take a serious look at removing George W. Bush as President of the United States

*Repeatedly lied to the American people about matters infinitely more important than that for which Bill Clinton was impeached

*Planned to invade and conquer Iraq without a legitimate Congressional Declaration of War as required by the Constitution, in defiance of the United Nations Security Council and in violation of the UN Charter

*Allowed September 11 terrorist attack to succeed by ignoring numerous warnings and failing to take precautions against hijackings

*Threatened seven nations with nuclear war

Promised America "perpetual war"

*Let Osama Bin Laden escape from Afghanistan

*Failed to catch the US weapons scientist responsible for the Anthrax terrorist attacks

*Attemped military coup d'etat to overthrow Venezuela's democratically-elected president

*Enacted an unaffordable tax cuts for corporations and the rich, and then lied about its effect on federal budget deficits

*Returned to massive budget deficits by cutting taxes for the rich

*Raided Social Security Trust Fund despite his repeated promises that he would not do so

*Cut health care despite firm promises not to do so

*Made global warming worse by opposing conservation and promoting oil drilling

*Undermined efforts to protect clean air, water, and national parks

*Sabotaged key environmental and arms control treaties

*Helped Enron steal billions from California consumers

*Created a secret Energy Task Force under Dick Cheney, and refused to comply laws requiring disclosure of its activities

*Established an unconstitutional shadow government

without notifying any Democrats

*Appointed business executives who engaged in massive fraud to top positions - including Dick Cheney (Halliburton) and Tom White (Enron)

*Appointed Iran-contra criminals to top positions, including Elliot Abrams and John Poindexter

Detained nearly 1200 people without charges in violation of the Fourth and Fifth Amendments

*Authorized government surveillance without warrants, including telephone wiretapping and e-mail interception

*Appointed right-wing judges who oppose the Bill of Rights

*Illegal Acts of War against the World and the People of Iraq

Impeach? Absolutely!

My thoughts exactly. Bush is a dangerous, fanatical man. His deeds are definitely impeachable.

I hate you smart people!

by Bush Admirer Friday, Mar. 28, 2003 at 6:53 PM

Fuck off, poopyheads! Leave my idol alone!

TOO BAD WE HAVE TO BOTHER TO IMPEACH HIM

by Fed Up with the Right Wing Friday, Mar. 28, 2003 at 8:18 PM

King George, the White House Squatter. What a poor excuse for a human being. He did not win the election and it's too bad that we had to go to the bother of impeaching him. The reasons set forth above clearly point out why this idiot MUST go - along with Cheney, A$$croft and the rest of the ilk.

Simple

by Simple Simon Friday, Mar. 28, 2003 at 8:29 PM

Setting ‘em up and knocking ‘em down.

“Repeatedly lied to the American people about matters infinitely more important than that for which Bill Clinton was impeached “

Unspecified. Unproven.

“*Planned to invade and conquer Iraq without a legitimate Congressional Declaration of War as required by the Constitution, in defiance of the United Nations Security Council and in violation of the UN Charter “

Iraq is in material breach of 17 UN resolutions and the cease fire agreement which temporarily halted the Gulf War. The Gulf War is thus back on.

“*Allowed September 11 terrorist attack to succeed by ignoring numerous warnings and failing to take precautions against hijackings “

Terrorists had never, in the history of Man, used airplanes as weapons. The attacks which occurred on Sept. 11 2001 were unprecedented and difficult to stop. The idea that an Administration that was in power for only 18 months is somehow culpable, when an Administration that was there for 8 years – and ignored earlier terrorist attacks- is not is laughable.

“*Threatened seven nations with nuclear war

Promised America "perpetual war" “

No threats of nuclear war have EVER emanated from the White House. No mention of ‘perpetual war’ have EVER emanated from the White House.

“*Let Osama Bin Laden escape from Afghanistan “

First of all, not proven. Second of all, how is this an impeachable offense exactly?

“*Failed to catch the US weapons scientist responsible for the Anthrax terrorist attacks “

No proof the attacker is an American. Again, how is this an impeachable offense?

“*Attemped military coup d'etat to overthrow Venezuela's democratically-elected president “

Possible but not proven US influence. Not to worry, Venezuela’s people will get rid of that thug.

“*Enacted an unaffordable tax cuts for corporations and the rich, and then lied about its effect on federal budget deficits “

Untrue. Every American taxpayer received a tax cut, regardless of economic status. The real scandal here is the book cooking of the Clinton Administration which hid the fact that we were moving into a recession in 1999.

“*Returned to massive budget deficits by cutting taxes for the rich”

Untrue. Budget deficits are being run because of the massive increase in government expenditures relating to the war on terrorism and the conclusion of the Gulf War.

“*Raided Social Security Trust Fund despite his repeated promises that he would not do so “

Unproven. Documentation? How is this an impeachable offense?

“*Cut health care despite firm promises not to do so”

Unproven. Documentation? How is this an impeachable offense?

“*Made global warming worse by opposing conservation and promoting oil drilling “

Laughably unproven. Advocation of drilling has absolutely no impact on the environment.

“*Undermined efforts to protect clean air, water, and national parks “

Unproven. Documentation? How is this an impeachable offense?

“*Sabotaged key environmental and arms control treaties”

By this I assume you mean that he voided the ABM treaty which was consummated with a power no longer in existence (Soviet Union). Are you suggesting we honor all treaties perpetually? I am sure we had a trade agreement with the Grand Duchy of Warsaw. Are you shocked to find we no longer honor it?

Kyoto was an abomination. It’s sole goal was to hamstring the West while allowing the East to produce as much pollution as they want. Bad treaty, bad science.

Again, how are these impeachable offenses?

“*Helped Enron steal billions from California consumers “

Unproven. Only person closely tied to the Enron controversy was Robert Rubin –a former Clinton cabinet member who attempted to get creditors to break federal law for Enron.

“*Created a secret Energy Task Force under Dick Cheney, and refused to comply laws requiring disclosure of its activities”

Documentation? Impeachable how?

“*Established an unconstitutional shadow government

without notifying any Democrats “

Documentation? Impeachable how?

“*Appointed business executives who engaged in massive fraud to top positions - including Dick Cheney (Halliburton) and Tom White (Enron) “

Unproven. Accusations about Cheney have been unfounded. Impeachable how?

“*Appointed Iran-contra criminals to top positions, including Elliot Abrams and John Poindexter

Detained nearly 1200 people without charges in violation of the Fourth and Fifth Amendments “

First of all, these “Iran-contra criminals” have served their time. Second of all, if it weren’t for these “Iran-contra criminals” we would probably still have a major Communist problem in Nicaragua, Guatemala, and El Salvador. Not that you think that that’s a bad thing.

“*Authorized government surveillance without warrants, including telephone wiretapping and e-mail interception “

All approved by Congress. Not an impeachable offense.

“*Appointed right-wing judges who oppose the Bill of Rights “

Laughably unproven. Documentation please. Oh, and impeachable how?

“*Illegal Acts of War against the World and the People of Iraq”

See above.

So, let’s see how you did. Zero impeachable offenses. Wow. You’ve got an air tight case there, kiddo.

They merely expose you as a typical Leftist. Long on feelings, short on substance.

Great Argument

by Wow Friday, Mar. 28, 2003 at 9:22 PM

I love the way Bush Admirer, step by step, eliminated

every single ludicrous statement in the original post.

Unfortunately the only response from the left will

probably be a barrage of calling him a "poopy head."

Again, a perfect example of Conservatives arguing with

thought and facts, and Liberals arguing with emotion.

Bush is not our President

by 86 43 Friday, Mar. 28, 2003 at 10:25 PM

I have to comment on the above arguement by Mr. Simple. George W. Bush has taken the power given to him by the Supreme Court, not the American people, and swiftly run this country into turmoil. Financially, diplomatically, internationally and psychologically. I can list off numerous occasions where Mr. Bush and his well chosen staff have taken their postions beyond what I consider to be Democratic, yet they are TOO numerous and pretty obvious if you read, listen or watch ANYTHING. All of his policy is anti-average American. And unless you are a lobbyist or stockholder I don't think he really gives a flyin' hoot about you, your family or friends either. So, if getting a blow job is more severe than chiseling away at the Bill of Rights, International Law and the American financial and military power than I guess our priorities have changed and I didn't get the memo.....

Simple

by Simple Simon Friday, Mar. 28, 2003 at 10:37 PM

Another monkey on the string.

Look, sonny, if you want to believe that the President isn't the President, fine. But don't expect any rational person to converse with you on the point.

President Bush won the election. He won the popular vote in the State of Florida. This has been attested to by all the election observers, and all the representatives of the major media outlets. The only judicial malfeasence was perpetrated by the Democratic Kangaroo Court (Florida Supreme) who had two blatantly unconstitutional rulings overturned inside of a week.

Our guy won, your guy lost. And that sticks in your ignorant craw. There isn't one credible shred of evidence in this whole cesspool of accusations.

And, I might add, I find it unseemly that the Party of the Soundbite (Democrats), with their sanctimonious prattling on about "every vote counts" should simultaneously be actively disenfranchising US servicemen and women through voiding their absentee ballots.

What You Consider??

by thhhhhhhhwwwww Friday, Mar. 28, 2003 at 10:45 PM

>...beyond what I consider to be Democratic...

Given your political leanings, your opinion doesn't matter.

Popular vote eh?

by 86 43 Friday, Mar. 28, 2003 at 10:45 PM

Are we going to now discuss the flaws in the electoral process while bringing up the concept of popular vote? Let's talk about dienfranchising....let's talk about the popular vote...

POP QUIZ : who won the popular vote in the United States of democracy and freedom?

No guy is good enough for my ideals of what this country can be.

Sorry baby, you have to have morals and priorities before you can prattle off facts.

Always, have a thesis statement and then back that up didn't your English teachers tell you that? Oh ya, they all just got fired....to bad we are in so much debt....

Popular?

by 25 Or 6 To 4 Friday, Mar. 28, 2003 at 11:11 PM

Unfortunately for your argument, the United States

Constitution does not call for the President to be

elected by a majority national vote.

Don't like that? Then get two thirds of Congress and

three fourths of the states to amend it. Good luck.

So Gore won the popular vote? Really? I'd say that

out of a total of 101,447,491 votes cast, a 537,179 vote

lead is considerably slim. Especially when several

states have a law in place that triggers an automatic

recount if the vote is within a very small margin, i.e.

Florida. So I can't allow you to declare a victory in the

popular vote until we have a nation-wide recount.

Sorry.

Furthermore, it should be an absolute embarrasment

that a sitting Vice President, who had the benefit of

peace-time and an upswing in the economy, shouldn't

win the Presidency by a landslide.

As far as the ridiculous notion that Jeb Bush screwed

the voters of Florida, answer me this question. If the

voters of Florida were SO disenfranchised by Jeb

Bush, why then did the reelect him as their Governor?

Simple

by Simple Simon Friday, Mar. 28, 2003 at 11:17 PM

Oh, don't get all huffy 86.

Like my man 25 or 6 to 4 says, if you don't like the rules change them.

Again, your guy lost, our guy won, and that has you spinning like a top.

It's fun to hear you whine.

I'll Vote for Bush in Next Election

by He deals with problesm left by Clinton Friday, Mar. 28, 2003 at 11:28 PM

You say the economy is all Bushs fault along with 9/11.

Well, if Clinton would have done the same thing in 98 when the inspectors were first kicked out, we wouldn't have this war now.

If Clinton would have done more in 98 after the embassy bombings, there would've been no 9/11! He saw the threat, but as Commander in Chief, did very little.

The Economy? Well, the economy runs in cycles, you can't avoid it! NAFTA did nothing but allow more jobs tobe created in Mexico. Recessions come and go, deal with it! Try getting a job to help out!

President Bush is the best President we've had since Kennedy, if you're a Democrat, try to think more as an independent when writing your opinions. I am neither a Rep. or Dem, I vote for the best and Gore was really not the best choice so I'm really glad he lost.

Yeah...Right...

by Fuck Bush Friday, Mar. 28, 2003 at 11:42 PM

Hey....and Clinton got the problems that Daddy Bush and useless Ronnie never handled.

Geeeeeez: Get a clue!!!

Who the fuck do you think had a chance to deal with Saddam and failed to do so?

Here's a clue: His son is the current resident (or should I say squatter) at 1600 ) Penn Ave, Washington DC.

What a dumbass you are.

Take a History Lesson

by You are too dumb Friday, Mar. 28, 2003 at 11:47 PM

Clinton was in office for 8 years. At the end of Gulf War I, we couldn';t go into Iraq because the coalition would fall apart so we left Saddam some rules to follow. He broke them when Clinton was in office, Clinton did not enforce the rules. Now Bush has to clean up his mess.

Simple

by Simple Simon Friday, Mar. 28, 2003 at 11:48 PM

That is really among the most dishonest and ignorant things I've seen in a while.

George H.W. Bush created and led the Coalition which ousted the Iraqis from Kuwait. He did so under a UN mandate, and over the complaints and protests of Leftists like yourself.

Once the unbelievably short and remarkably decisive campaign was over, the Leftists grew the brass balls to crow about how the we left the job half finished.

Now, let me see if I've got your position: You oppose the invasion of Iraq to oust Saddam Hussein, but you think that the first President Bush should have ousted him, but you don't think we should have fought the Gulf War.

OK.

Gotcha.

You've got crap in your head. Stick your head in your toilet, flush, repeat.

Simple Simon

by Dr. Sigmund Fruit Friday, Mar. 28, 2003 at 11:55 PM

Simon, you really have major denial issues. What will you do when the Bush Empire crumbles? Stick your head back up your ass?

Dr. Dr.

by Dr. Strangelove Friday, Mar. 28, 2003 at 11:58 PM

"What will you do when the Bush Empire crumbles?"

Yea, that's going to happen. hahahha. Don't hold your breath.

SUPPORT OUR TROOPS

by systemfailure Friday, Mar. 28, 2003 at 11:59 PM

Hey there dummy ass simon.

As a "veteran"

What do ya think about congress passing a resolution saying

"thanks to our troops fighting for Operation Iraqi Freedom"

and then on the same day 3-4 hours later

passed another resolution

cutting veterans benefits by 28 Billion dollars over the next few years--

SUPPORT OUR TROOPS!!!

dumbass

why dont you take a real look at your goverment

I love america

I hate the government

by George W. Bush Saturday, Mar. 29, 2003 at 12:01 AM

Hey, Dr. Strangelove. Did you enjoy that nosecandy last night? We got it straight from the Colombian military in exchange for our "foreign aid." If you need any more, just get in touch with either me or Rummy.

Simple

by Simple Simon Saturday, Mar. 29, 2003 at 12:03 AM

Yeah, I'm a dumbass. So what? Let's see how you'd like being deaf, dumb and blind like me. It's how we conservatives go through life. We are still living in the Dark Ages. Maybe someday, we'll evolve.

Why We Win

by . Saturday, Mar. 29, 2003 at 12:07 AM

This is exactly why we always win.

As a rule, Conservatives argue with Facts, and liberals

with emotion.

Fact will always defeat emotion.

We will always win.

Simple

by Simple Simon Saturday, Mar. 29, 2003 at 12:11 AM

Yeah, and we get our propaganda, no, wait, FACTS, from Fox News. They do our thinking for us.

Simple

by Simple Simon Saturday, Mar. 29, 2003 at 12:30 AM

I'll tell you what frosts my ass, Systemfailure.

When the United States Congress passes a non-binding resolution of support for our troops (which says nothing about support for the war) and elected representatives vote 'no'.

As to the issue with Veteran's Benefits, I've heard rumblings, but I haven't read up on it. If history is any guide, the 'cut' is probably merely a shrink in the size of an increase. If you remember, Republicans were accused of 'cutting' school lunch programs, when they were merely advocating that the programs grow at a slower rate than the Democrats would like.

Anyway, like I said, I haven't read up on the issue. Perhaps you could provide me a link?

Oh, and one more thing that kills me. One year I didn't get my GI Bill check on time - because it was Veteran's Day. Explain that one.

FOX News is a good source of information

by Its Fair and Balanced Saturday, Mar. 29, 2003 at 12:45 AM

Look, Fox News may be a conservative network, but it still reports the facts. The problem here is that you protestors don't want to believe the facts so you accuse them of lying. Just like presenting evidence at a trial, the prosecuter is reporting the facts plus a little bullshit to help win the case. But, even the bullshit is based on facts. This is what we call an opinion. You see, you don't seem to agree with the overall opinion coming from FOX NEWS, Right? They are based on facts so should you stand in total disbelief? I trust any one of our national news networks to provide me with complete full covergae filled with facts. I take those facts and form my own opinion. So, when you call someone "brainwashed," try to question how you arrived at your own opinion about the war. Are you basing it on bullshit or just the facts. For example, King Hippy Pothead(or whoever feeds you your information) tells you, "Man, this war is all about oil, its just wrong, man. We should stand up and protest or something, man." From that statement, you then honestly believe the war is all about oil, you then begin to pass it around to all your crackhead friends who also live in their parents basements. They believe you and pass it on and try to tell people over the internet. Then what you finally find after hundreds of one sided discussions that someone actually disagrees with you. Well, how can that be? You are alway's right, Aren't you? You then resort to name calling like your fellow communist "New X." This is where you become very frustrated and begin to block the streets because you get frustrtaed that mostly no one cares about your opinion because it is based on bullshit.

Hahahahahahahahaha

by Fox News Saturday, Mar. 29, 2003 at 12:49 AM

Wow, we've got these idiotic conservatives actually believing that we're fair and balanced! Thanks for the ratings, you braindead fascists!

Don't overestimate these people.

by Sheepdog Saturday, Mar. 29, 2003 at 12:56 AM

Mr. Fox news:

Why call them something they have no idea the definition of.

They’re just morons, you know, the salt of the earth.

Thanks

by You Proved my Point Saturday, Mar. 29, 2003 at 12:59 AM

No argument to back it up? Tell me, why am I a fascist? Why am I braindead? Tell me how Fox News is lying to us? None of you have the ability to back up your opinions. I understand that you are frustrated that no one likes you because of your support for terrorism, but there's still time for you to change. Become informed then you can have something intelligent to add to a conversation. I challenged you with a serious argument and you write one line that pretty much sums up the basic intelligence of the overall peace movement. Thank you for proving my point and I'm sure many will follow, writing more bullshit instead of making an argument based on real facts. Please do not hesitate to fly to Iraq to become a Human Shield.

Point proven

by Fox News Saturday, Mar. 29, 2003 at 1:22 AM

Damn, you tell these idiots outright and they STILL don't get it! You WILL watch Fox News. You WILL believe everything we say. This is just too easy.

Simple

So, a House subcommittee voted to cut 25 billion out of the defense budget.

In order for it to become law, I believe it will still have to pass a full House vote and a full Senate vote.

And then it will have to be approved by the President.

So, why don't you save all your pissing and moaning up for then?

Otherwise people might begin to think you're a little bit of a crybaby.
