The elite corporate media thinks that the masses that are stupid, it is they who are stupid for believing the corrupt corporate pr machine.
The rejection of measure 4A was an excellent demonstration of the people being able to see through the lies, while many people are probably surprised at the Wal-Mart 4A proposal rejection by the masses I am not.
The media has made a mistake, the media actually believes the corporate take on the rest of us, but they have been deceived, because while lots of people in the media believe that we are stupid, the corporations know that we are not. Media outlets like CNN, NBC, NY Times and even Air America and PBS believe that they can’t tell too much of the truth, because it might scare Joe Smith in the middle of the country.
The masses aren’t stupid they are simply tired. I used to wonder why people didn’t take action, why they didn’t fight back, and do what they are suppose to do as citizens of the world, especially the citizens in the US.
Then I realized that they are tired. I couldn’t see it initially, because I am a pawn in the game and I was playing my part as the pretentious liberal. Corporations know that if they let people have enough free time they would stop playing in the game, so they had to come up with a plan and the plan was sell, sell, sell not just stuff, but lifestyles, dreams, ambitions, goals. Those of us who are more active politically, it’s easy for us to see that corporations exploits and trains people to do things that they don’t want to do, even people who are active themselves are forced to do things they don’t want to do, which probably explains the high percentage of alcoholics in my midst. The merry go round of life which rushes us through from childhood to high school, to college or work to family to kids, doesn’t allow the average person to asks, “What’s going on?”
The vast majority of people are not stupid. The corporations are the ones that lack imagination and are greedy; they set things out in an easy uncomplicated way, because that way it is easier for them to sell things. The average person isn’t born prejudice, sexist, nationalistic, or homophobic those are things that we are taught not by just our parents, but by the TV shows, the magazines, and the slant of coverage of by corporate media entities.
The average person does not want to be talked down to, but they are used to it, because to talk to an individual in simple terms is something that is easy to do in a three minute commercial or a thirty minute TV show or a big headline to make you sit down and read a story that’s whole point is to push propaganda down the readers throat.
It is not the media’s job to make things easy and taste good, the media’s job is the business of the truth, because we already have Prozac to make this easier.
We live in a society that is designed so that people are trapped on a train that they can’t get off of.
So where does the media come in. The media is suppose to lift that bar, we are suppose to realize that it isn’t that the people are simple minded or even the corporations, but the simple campaigns, easy categorizations, are all there to make money in the fastest way. An objective observer has respect for people and knows that the average person out there is simply tired and while they don’t have time to search for the truth if the truth is presented they will recognize it. The media, especially media outlets that view themselves as objective is not suppose to take a side. It is suppose to be a place where the average working man and woman can find out the truth. They are suppose to be presenting the facts so that we know what is going on.
The media needs to expose the why, not encourage the delusion. The media is suppose to be searching for the answers of why is it so necessary for the poor to remain poor, the middle to stay in the middle, and the rich are given, what seems to be given a free pass.
The field of journalism is suppose to breakdown the delusion of class distinctions, useless categorization and the other tools used by the corporations to control us and keep us in check and the media is suppose to confront the government with the tough questions and expose the tough stories and give us the tools to come up with the conclusions. Is it simply the corporations, is it simply about greed, or is it some plot by the US government to keep us all occupied until it’s time, time to do what I don’t know, I’m not in the media, but these are stories that need to be told and researched, but I guess it’s hard to search for the truth and be objective when the liars are paying you or are underwriting your show.

Just monitor the latest television commercials that is based on the current level of intelligence taken from marketing surveys. That should produce a level of concern that the gray matter has turned to mush and is easily manipulated.

So do you view yourself as on the left or the right? It shocks me the amount of people on the left who feel that they people that they fight for are complete morons; if you think people are stupid why bother, they deserve what happens to them right?
Yeah the marketing machine that is owned by corporations they could never lie right, everything they come up with all of their studies must be true...
