Iraqis demand elections now!

How will bu$hco defeat the Iraqi demand for democratic elections now that the Iraqi masses are in the streets and marching for the vote? Why... with bayonets and bombs of course! So much for democracy. So much for elections. So much for freedom.

The war was never about getting rid of a tyrant or his "weapons of mass destruction" (which even a FOOL now has to admit did not exist). It was all about oil.

This is wonderful

Clearly Bush was right when he said the Iraqis yearn for self government.

This demonstration could not have happened a year ago.

Viva la democracie. Viva W.

Wonderful?

Hurricane H. posted: "Clearly Bush was right when he said the Iraqis yearn for self government. This demonstration could not have happened a year ago. Viva la democracie. Viva W."

During Gulf War round 1, Bush Sr. called on the Iraqis to rise up against Saddam and vowed to support such an uprising. The Shi'ites in the South responded to the call. They fought Saddam's army... but the U.S. stood by and did nothing. Saddam slaughtered thousands of Shi'ites, many of these folks are in the mass graves recently discovered. The Shi'ites have not forgotten this... "Hurricane H." may have forgotten, but Iraqis have not.

Now the Shi'ites are demanding elections, and they are the majority population in the country. Both the Sunni and Kurdish population... as well as the secularists, fear the rise of "the black turbans."

It's hilarious really. The same people who scream about the Mullahs being in control of the government of Iran, that the Shi'ite Mullahs there are "anti-U.S. religious zealots who support terrorism".... now say that Iraq's Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani and his followers (who have close links to Iran) are enjoying the benefits of resident Bush's "liberation." Hurricane H. says that this mass upsurge by the Shi'ites is a wonderful thing that "could not have happened a year ago." Wait and see what happens when the Shi'ites are denied the elections promised to them. The U.S. government, in all it's imperial arrogance, has opened the Pandora's Box of religious civil war... and it doesn't have the slightest clue as how to stop what it's set into motion.

Oh wonderful

Another prediction.

First we were told that Afghanistan would be a huminatian disaster, a huge refugee crisis.

Wrong.

We were told the Taliban would bog us down for decades, as the Soviets and English were.

Wrong.

We were told the Arab street would be inflamed.

Wrong.

We were told thousands of Americans would die in Iraq.

Wrong.

We were told there would be a huge backlash of terrorism if we invaded.

Wrong.

Now we're being told there will be a religious civil war in Iraq.

I have a broken watch -- and at least its right TWICE a day!

You forgot a few...

We were told that SH possesed WMD.

Lie.

We were told that he had the means to lauch them against the US.

Lie.

We were told that SH was in cohoots with AQ

Lie.

We were told that we had conclusive proof that SH had WMD.

Lie.

We were told that the misAdministration knew exactly where these WMD's were.

Lie.

We were told we were in Iraq to liberate the Iraqis

Lie.

We were told by a little boy playing soldier that the war was over.

Lie.

Sorry, H, but you have been downgraded to a feeble tropical storm.
