LONG BEACH, California - Heeding the call of Occupy Oakland, who called for a shutdown of west coast ports in response to the brutal eviction of occupy encampments nationwide, and in solidarity with expolited port workers and truckers, about 500 militant occupiers and their friends shut down Terminal J of the Port of Long Beach, the home of SSA Marine, an investment of the criminal enterprise Goldman Sachs and the main stakeholder of the US government. ONTARIO (California) - Now that all the largest encampments have been shut down and cleared out, it is up to groups in smaller cities to carry the torch. In an action that coincided with International Human Rights Day, between 30 and 50 activists, many of them active in other area occupy movements, converged in Ontario today for a demonstration and march targeting banks. On December 8th, Filipino WW II veterans and widows marched to the offices of Senators Boxer in San Diego and Los Angeles, and Feinstein in San Francisco in support of simultaneous talks in their DC offices. Lobbyists will ask both Senators to co-introduce a companion bill to HR 210 “The Filipino Veterans Fairness Act of 2011.”
In Los Angeles, six delegates from JFAV led by its National Coordinator Arturo Garcia and S4PACE Vice presiden Jovy Alejandrino met with Rafi Nazarians, District head of Senator Boxer's office at 312 Spring St.Los Angeles, CA 90012 at around 9AM.
In Washington DC, Atty. Arnedo Valera met with Ryan O'Reilly, military Legislative fellow of Senator Boxer at Hart Senate building while JFAV San Francisco leaders Ago Pedalizo and Violy Reyes,met with Senator Feinstein staff in her San Francisco office.

 There are families everywhere without homes this holiday season due to foreclosures. The De Los Santos Family of Riverside was but one of them and the Alliance of California for Community Empowerment (ACCE) Home Defenders League has taken up their cause to take this home back. Among the supporters are the occupiers of Los Angeles and Riverside both of which have also been forcibly evicted from their “homes.” Yet all these evictions have not slowed anyone down, in fact it has made this gesture all that much stronger.
