I was actually initially miffed when I found out how HARD it has suddenly (?) gotten to research chomsky.info by crucial key words. Words and phrases such as "internalized values" are no longer bringing up ANY info from chomsky.info !
For one.
Secondly, "ZNet" AND www.archive.org (with the Wayback Machine) DO NOT ARCHIVE the following link, found at chomsky.info
https://znetwork.org/chomsky/articles/loot9108-ideology.html
I had another one, but didn't save it when it went to "404 Not Found". If I'm pressed, I will try to find it.
What is happening?? Is the Internet Trojan Horse rearing its head openly, now? (After all, the Internet WAS started by The Pentagon, right?)
...Now that things are "coming to a head" in many peoples' mind. Even Chomsky is saying stuff like this (at chomsky.info anyway). And I don't think I'm exaggerating!
That archive.org doesn't have backups of these urls is even more alarming. If not archive.org what does an independent researcher have? (I guess it's time to revisit the library, eh?)
(Note: archive.org does have "something" on the links I used, but it's merely ONE --2024!-- orange-colored button. Which means that their "archive" of the url is REALLY only documenting that there is NO url given/allowed.
I can "get it" when it comes to ZNet, which, after all, is an ideologically-charged vanguardist-controlled project. The same mindset which, back when Chomsky spoke at MIT regularly, tried to suppress Chomsky from delving perhaps too deeply into the demystification of vanguardist prerogatives!! Where the organizer of the forum suddenly stood next to Chomsky and cut in, saying something to the effect of Chomsky being "too busy" to go on much longer!!
(And, yes, in a private letter response to me, Chomsky agreed about my characterization of that situation!)
But archive.org? What's THEIR excuse????
And then, I query ZNet for "internalized values" and ONE link comes up, where the phrase is quickly mentioned, not delving deeper. Maybe it's all about needing more book sales?
I recall just maybe 20 years ago, where I could search this phrase and LOADS of urls/links would show up.
Am I missing something?
Is this just my "old age"?? Certainly the commissars here will wish to believe that is ONLY that!
