This is a set of what I found from people organizing against the Republicans.
The main focus is Young Kim, the Congressperson from the 40th District, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California%27s_40th_congressional_district
She represents the wealthy area of Anaheim Hills, but with all the trashing that Trump is doing to the economy, maybe a Democratic challenger can get in there and win. They'll probably need to be a moderate Dem.
The median household income is 127k! It's nearly half white. 25% Hispanic. 19% Asian. <2% Black. <5% 2 or more races. The district went for Biden when he ran.
I would suggest that interested people contact to work with Individisble 40.
I also got to briefly meet a Dem PAC, and the local DSA. So there was some range at the demo.
However, as I said in the previous post, I didn't get the sense that political recruitment was front and center at this rally, but maybe I'm wrong. I did miss many speeches.
Maybe it can happen next time. It requires something like having the County party get some money together to hire canvassers and pay them by the lead, like a dollar per complete (legible) contact. The Dem party does this as a fundraiser for Dem Clubs - so they would run registration drives and pay for Dem registrations. Now that we have motor voter, they don't really need that, but we do need big contact lists that might have some volunteers to call, canvass, and organize.
https://www.wswaorange.org/ I don't know this organization, but their history is amazing. One of their chapters provided food assistant to a Philly community after the cops blew up the MOVE house. The headline is about their benefit program, which is a volunteer based survival benefit program that includes medical and dental care. Read their site. Thanks to Andrew, their canvasser, for dropping some info and getting my friend signed up.
